The second match of our Easter double header sees us make the short journey over the bridge to Kent to visit rock bottom Ebbsfleet.
Josh Wright's side are in similar form to ourselves but, despite already being relegated, have scored 8 (yes eight!) goals more in their last 6 games than a Southend side allegedly trying to get in the play-offs. Not that any of us needed reminding what the main problem was for us.

As well as manager Wright, there are a few other ex-Shrimpers in the Fleet side with George Moncur, Aaron Cosgrave, Tyler Cordner, Luke O'Neill and Dominic Poleon now plying their trade for the Kent side. Only Moncur and Cosgrave started in the 1-0 defeat to the Daggers on Good Friday, with Poleon coming off the bench - I assume the others are injured as they only had 6 on the bench for that game. They could be one lighter against us as midfielder Josh Passley was shown a straight red at the end of the last game.
Although it is still possible for us to get into the play-offs, our impotent attack would seem to suggest that this is becoming a more and more distant possibility. Managing to only accrue a single point from consecutive home games against sides we should expect to beat, coupled with the agonising last minute equaliser at Sutton means we are getting further and further off the pace with only 3 games left.
For ease of reference, our fellow play-off chasers have the following fixtures on Monday.
YORK v OLDHAM
ROCHDALE v AFC Fylde
HALIFAX v ALTRINCHAM
Hartlepool v GATESHEAD
FOREST GREEN v TAMWORTH
So who would you choose to start the latest "must win" game, and what do you predict the result will be?
