Is changing from a KLM flight at Schiphol that much different from changing from an Easyjet flight then?

easyjet offer a point to point service, so yes if I was going just to Amsterdam, then no problem.

You can't book connections onto other carriers through easyjet, so it would mean booking an easyjet flight from Southend that got you into Amsterdam in plenty of time to go through arrivals etc and then back to check-in at least 2 hours before departure. Where if you were booked all the way on KLM then they would check your bags all the way through to your final destination and would mean less connection time needed, you would simply walk off one plane and straight to the gate of your next flight. Also if easyjet flight was late, then you would be stuck in Amsterdam.

They have got all the Weekender destinations covered off there, from 2012 there will be no-one left in town from Friday to Sundays!

I am going to get practicing on MS flight simulator because they are obviously going to need drivers for these planes.

Just did a simulation for a week in Barcelona in April.........came out at £55+ return, that's not bad. I'm waiting for further destinations to be announced, so far there is nothing in France. I did hear talk of moving some of the Stansted flight to Southend, needless to say if they did Toulouse to Southend, I would be well pleased. Do Easyjet have a left-wing bias...
.........why are they helping out Barna and not me
!!! :winking:

If you do decide to come in April pm me with your dates.(We're usually in France over Easter as such).
Just booked a flight over to sunny Southend for two yesterday in May 2012 to catch our last home game and(hopefully) promotion party.

Glory hunter

Ha!I usually come over for the last home match of the season whatever's happened in the season.hasn't been too much glory to be had in the last couple of years. Not since that epic game against Bristol City IIRC.This time I'll be thrilled to be flying into Southend directly after years of travelling down by train from London.

Do you know what...I make you right on the travel front. It will be so much easier flying directly into Southend. I will also make use of flying to sunnier climbs for breaks, long or short, makes holidays much more appealing

I have not seen Andy Dixon for a very long time.

I have his shirt that he played in l!!!
andy has a bar in nerja now and his shirts are alot bigger now as he is twice the size, he has a signed grimsby shirt on the wall in his bar, plan to go over and see him in may next year.

Good mix of destinations, can only be a good thing in my opinion

Mouth watering options KS, Southend airport on the up and up me thinks.

Quite the anti-airport-expansion piece below:

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/tamsin-omond/book-early-pay-less-regio_b_915090.html

I'm sure Denis Walker will be printing that off and stuffing it through letter boxes around the Borough.

The writers Bio says it all im afraid

Tamsin Omond

Tamsin Omond left university with one ambition - to become the first female Archbishop of Canterbury. After reading a popular science book about climate change she had to rethink her goal. One morning she left her church office so that she might climb the roofs of Parliament to drop banners that read: No Third Runway (at Heathrow Airport). This was the beginning of a new journey - to build a radical environmental movement in the UK. Since that January morning four years ago she has organised (and been arrested for) a number of high profile protests, founded a Suffragette inspired climate action group called Climate Rush and coordinated the recent Save England's Forests campaign. She is the author of RUSH! The Making of a Climate Activist and is as likely to be found in the pages of Vogue as she is to be found outside Jeremy Clarkson's house beside a large pile of manure.

Oh absolutely. It was incredibly biased. It made me laugh how she can talk about how democratic challenges to airport expansion have been ignored and then she writes-off completely support for expansion in the local community by saying that it's purely down to local residents having been lied to.

Have decided to take tamsin omonds article up with her on twitter (and she's bitten) @davrosfelli if ur interested
