Drinking holes in the south end of Prittllewell

Anyone else remember The Sutton Arms in the early 70's when it was the main meeting place for 'locals'. It even had a downstairs bar, if i remember correctly. I'm sure some on here will also remember the Criterion (stools bolted to the floor) and the 'Tavern in the town'.

Yep.Remember all of those.Preferred The Sutton though, not to mention The Guilford.Ian Leask used to be the weekend bouncer at TTITT.

The Traflagar in Wan Chai, a hidden gem that I've only just discovered, does PROPER English pub grub as well as Spitfire and Bombadier on tap with plenty of other UK bottled fare some of which I've not heard of. Also a pool table and dart board. The ale travels very well !!

Also does **** water or what you girlies refer to as lager, though I have been known to quaff the odd Corona, Asahi or The Chinese Tsing Tao is actually a pretty good thirst quencher.

Last night I'm afraid was boring Guinness but that washed down Cailmari and Chips quite nicely !

Ah - this must be east of Prittlewell. I never went out to that part of town.
