I do not drink alcohol - no use to me.
I go to footie with 2 young lads who are too young to sing naughty songs at away fans - therefore the fact that the North Bank is open - also no use to me.
However at some point something may happen that will be of use to me -I might even try to think of something & mention it to Mr Mcnasty who with his band of helpers are doing excellent work in improving our lot , and also some credit to the club who are taking supporters comments on board.
Well done.

The Fan's Forum, of which I am just one of several fans looking to improve the lot of being an SUFC fan, exists to get opinions and suggestions from everyone.

We are looking at an Open Forum Evening, for people to question us and make suggestions, to be held as soon as possible.

Thanks for that - I shall endeavour to have a good think & consult my lads as well -despite my gloomy opening comments above -the club has come a long way from the so called "good ol days" of the mid 80's when I stated going. Different types of fans have different needs at various stages in their lives - I've been through the North Bank Crush days (yes all 20 of us on a friday night IF we scored ) now I just want a decent view a good match & a cup of tea with no wallies sitting near me saying things like "Where's Adam Barrett?".
However every type of fan need to have their view and if getting draught beer is a good thing for you then fair enough.
The real good thing is that there someone like yourself willing to spend the time & effort to get it all sorted out & discuss it with the powers that be.

Who is responsible for implementing such a change?

I'd guess it's our new CEO - a man who actually listens and has the right experience in club management. Well done Steve :clap:and it's put paid to what we've been fobbed off with for years that there couldn't be draught beers in the West.

The club need to work with the brewers who supply the beers. Not sure if the beer lines and hand-pumps needed are still installed in the West Stand bar.

As the real ale drinkers will know there is a lot more work involved in serving real ales properly than lagers which have a much longer shelf life and less wastage.

Well, we get enough gripes on here so I for one will say well done to the Fans Forum for taking it onboard and well done to the Club for responding in a positive fashion.

Agreed it's not real ale but I would imagine that's due to the fact that a keg beer will have a longer life, real ale that's left over would almost certainly be 'off' by the next match so waste ulage would be quite a factor. The only way round that would be to put a barrel or two on on the basis of once it's gone, it's gone, but there would be a need to get a feel for the market first to justify the initial outlay.
This is a good positive move and shows that things are slowly starting to look up, after all Rome wasn't built in a day; but then, I wasn't on that job :winking:
