Done deal

Quote[/b] (Jam_Man @ Dec. 31 2006,15:29)]We cant create chances to score them either.
We hit the bar, Adam also had a great chance in front of their goal if only he could have dug the ball out from under his feet, the ball was almost in the net from one shot, Gower scored from his chance, Bradbury was only a few inches away from turning Freddy's shot across the goal in..

I do agree that we haven't created enough chances in many of our games, but yesterday we started to.

Just checked the Cork City website (purely to see if there was any news about Roy O'Donovan) and the latest person to regster for their forum is a certain McScriven.

Do we need to read anything into this? ? ? ? ?

Apologies if this has been posted already, but I've just seen this on the BBC website, from The Mirror apparently - all I can say is, blimey!

Sheffield United are lining up a club record £6m bid for Preston striker David Nugent.

Surely just a coincidence...

Was in Corals (chelmer village, by asda) yesterday morning, and a youngish girl come in (21, 22 years old max). Asking for odds, on Eastwood to go to Charlton for anything from 2.5million to 3.2million, claiming that her Younger brother knows eastwood closely from being a grays fan. Apperently only people you can get it with is willhill? and its virtually a done deal? Wanted to whack some money on it, before the window opens and the rumours fly?

I'd be astonished if any bookmaker were to lay such a specific bet. Some may be doing 'Eastwood's next club' but he's not really a high profile enough player for many of them to bother.

That is why me and me brother in law started laughing, was playing some touchscreen roulette next to check out when she asked, apperently willhill will do it online, but cant find nothing!

Just been speaking to a Cork fan on pro evolution online. He said that Roy O'Donavon is a good player, could definately do well for us and is nearly as good as Doyle, but not quite.

Quote[/b] (shrimperian @ Dec. 29 2006,17:35)]I hate to whet peoples appetites without giving them hard facts but............

I have just heard from my usually very reliable source that at least one deal has been concluded today.  The player concerned has been down to the club and had a medical and will possibly travel to Coventry tomorrow, althoguh the deal cannot go through until Tuesday (not sure whether Monday is an operational day for the league).
What happened to this done deal !?

If you'd been religiously reading every single thread (God, part-timers!) then you'd have seen shrimperian pretty much explained that he was duped in to thinking it was a new signing when it was actually McCormack. Obviously, technically he was a new signign and he was injured at the time.
