Breaking News Dervite may stay

Sorry, he's been great and thanks for the memories, he has actuallly help indicate one enormous missing piece in our team jigsaw ............although, most of us knew it already...........However, as he said on the OS "The players have also helped me and I will keep good memories of my time in Southend." i.e Southend is has been great but is now, virtually in the past, ...............let's not kid ourselves ..................he has no intention of coming back! Love to be wrong ...........but I doubt it.

To be totally honest, it would not be any great shock if he came back here next season on loan - what would Tottenham have to lose? He will be getting games, and if at any stage of the proceedings they need him, they can recall him.

Let's not forget the hysteria surrounding Lee Sawyer earler on in the year - how he would be too good to come back here etc etc..... Now he's plying his trade at Wycombe in League Two!!!

Dervitte is a wonderful talent, and has almost single handedly helped pull us up by our boot laces, but he has a lot to learn still - that is evident even at this level - and another seaosn with us would surely only do him and Tottenham the world of good.

Players need to settle. I think that is why Sawyer's move to Coventry never worked out because he was young and had to move quite far away from his home and for only 1 month. I would love him to come back here and as you said Tottenham have nothing to lose. We are local, they know he has settled well here and is playing regular football. If they send him out to a Championship, he will have to most likely move to a new place, try to settle again and may not even get regular football.

He isn't going to say "no, I hate it here, I don't want to come back, ever", is he?

Of course he is going to say nice things about us. But reality bites, he is a French U21 international, may have a chance at first team footy at Spurs and is easily Championship class.

I think we say au revior to him this afternoon.

He didn't really day that he'd like to come back. Or even hint it. He said that he's enjoyed it here and that he hopes he gets another loan move next season if he's not playing at Spurs.

Can't really see him coming back, he will be at a Championship side, by the sounds of it someone at Spurs has said to him that he will probably be going out on loan again next season and he knows he's Championship class and so do we and everyone else. Let's give him the send off he deserves; Dorian, Clarkey and Theo all deserve a great send off, especially Clarkey and who knows they might want to stay after that.
