Deadpool 2024

I never met Motty nor saw him from afar, but he was part of my early years of football watching MotD with either him or Barry Davies offering the most fabulous descriptions of players and football fact. RIP Motty, I doubt you'll need your sheepskin any more.

Spoke with him almost every week for about 8 years. Such a lovely man, always enouraging. One person I had deep respect for in the world of football, and there are very few. 😔

Not famous but sad all the same if you knew him ..R.I.P Graham.

It is with great sadness that we notify the death of Graham Colin Havens who passed peacefully on Saturday 25th February 2023 aged 88.
Brother to Jean and Maureen, Father to Nigel and Paul. Grandfather to Michael, Veronie and Harry. Great Grandfather to Ayla.
After leaving school he joined his Father in the Havens retail department store in Westcliff-on-sea, Essex.
In 1999 the havens.co.uk website was launched, well ahead of the curve, the suppliers and the competition.
Throughout all changes to the store and launching online Graham was a totally supportive influence.
In business he understood that change is inevitable.
His mantra was “ doing nothing is not an option” and Nigel and Paul always sought his wise council which was always constructive, never negative.
You have left this world having enriched all whom you met and given so much more than you have taken.
You will now be reunited with your beloved Grace.
