The lesser charge came about because he wasn't guilty of possessing child porn. The minor male and nude photos is just sheer fantasy. He was accused of jerking off in a porn cinema and denied it up to the day he died, but paying a $75 fine seemed preferable to going to trial. Him and his lawyer made excuses, well they would, wouldn't they. The facts are they found 1000s of images of child porn and naked children memorabilia. Pee Wee said it was Historical Art(Come on guys), the police said NO, it's definitely mostly child porn. So he did a plea deal and got off with a lesser charge to save going to trial. Very common in the USA that saves the overloaded Courts time and money, and gets the defendant off the serious charge. The exposing himself in the Cinema he admitted. What him and his lawyer objected to and denied was that he was masturbating. They said he couldn't have done it with his wrong hand as was witnessed. So he could be innocent of that, maybe not. So I never mentioned the masturbating thing my original post, as it was not proven. Just that he had exposed himself at a minimum. His excuse years later when admitting he had behaved badly in the past, was that he was a bit of a freak and a self confessed weirdo. If you want to defend these nonces, it's up to you. Me, I will keep calling them out. I have a beloved close relative that was molested by a paedo when aged about 7. He's never got over it and he's totally messed up, and has tried therapy, drink and drugs.

I wouldn't defend a nonce, I don't believe in this case that he is one. Perhaps it's possible that you are rushing to judgement because of the ghastly things that happened to your loved one? Condemning the innocent isn't going to help him.
 
Director William Friedkin has died aged 87. Friedkin was probably best known for his work on the Exorcist, although he did win an Oscar as director of The French Connection.

I need to get a copy of his film Sorcerer, which has often being hailed as a forgotten masterpiece.

I trust the police when they say they found 1000s of child pornographic images. They had a department that deals with this sick stuff every day, look at his downloaded images, and they said they were child porn, mostly. Yes he had historical photo's and paintings that were not classed as porn, but were of naked children. Him and his lawyer tried to put everything in the historical images group. It didn't work. He would have waved the plea deal and gone to trial if innocent, like most innocent people would, to show the images were not child porn.
