Day Off

Waiting until extra-time to lose, makes that our second best away result of 2010.

We're on an upward spiral boys and girls!

I wasn't at the game but sounds like we played really well and in complete contrast to Saturday. If nothing else it proves we are capable of playing well, and the players must have some ability or we'd have been taken to the cleaners by Wolves. First team or not, most of that side had prem experience.

We have to keep believing & supporting the lads as they gradually become familiar to us & each other, and I'm sure they'll start to turn in performances like that every week.

There were some very good players in that team. A couple of internationals who played at the world cup and and plenty who walk into chamionship clubs.

Its fair to say that it wasnt wolves first team but most of these players are fringe premier league which means they are there to get the odd prem game.

We also faced doyle and ebanks blake for an hour which is the mainstay of wolves premier league attack.

We deserved to win and were unlucky!

I read on one of their reports that they started with eight Premier League players in the side and finished with ten. Whether they were first choice Premier League players, shouldn't be used to belittle our great effort last night. A little strange but I didn't feel totally gutted when they scored the winner last night. Perhaps it was the alchohol that had kicked in ..............or that I am so used to being kicked in the teeth recentlly, as far as Southend United is concerned...................or perhaps (and more likely) it was a sense of huge relief that we came out with our heads held high and had gone some way to exorcise last Saturdays awful performance. Can't wait for Friday night.........................or can I!!!???
