Date and Time of Chelsea!

Absolutely ridiculous that one...

That game won't finish till 5:45/6ish, Meaning people driving back to Manchester from Southampton won't get home till around Midnight on a Sunday night.

I see common sense prevails over TV rights as always...

Well it's not that ridiculous when you think about it, it's a normal kick off time on a Sunday for Premiership games when they are on SKY, so not something Manchester United will be unfamiliar with.

It is, of course, inconvenient for fans, but then if it were not for SKY, then teams such as Manchester United would not be anywhere near as rich and successful as they currently are.

Unfortunately, if you make a deal with the devil, you have to suffer the consequences, and I would imagine the Manchester United fans would rather put up with awkward trips on a Sunday afternoon in return for becoming the Champions of Europe and seeing some of the best players in the world playing for their team.

Oh, that's my 1,000th post...... A SZ milestone for me!!

I take the point but in reality it's no different to us playing Carlisle away on a Tuesday night. At least where it's televised those that cannot make the trip can still see the game.

You've also made a strange assumption that Manchester United fans will be heading back to Manchester!

;)

We all have national and international supporters, just they have so many more than any other club in the world.

What is it about human nature that casuses many to dislike the most powerful clubs, countries and individuals

Can't be purely down to envy, surely ?

Partly. Bitterness and bile is all part of being a football fan. I imagine I'll go off Man City once they start winning trophies.

Never used to mind Man City really. But seeing on Sky Sports News the day Robinho signed, loads of people queuing up to renew their season tickets even though the season had already started, and that they had no intention of renewing them in the first place until news came through of the Arabian money, made me hate them quite a lot.

Mugs. :D

I don't think think it is the slightest bit inconvenient or awkward for them. Travelling from Surrey to Hampshire is a piece of urine.

What I like about your post is that you've left in a 15 minute window to account for injury time should Manchester United be losing.
