Quote[/b] (Bucks_blue @ Feb. 19 2005,20:02)]Mike do you have the top 10 Keepers by appearances. I can't believe Sammy isn't up there I thought he played for ages.

How many appearances has King Kevin made now and how does he fair in the all time list of player appearances?
Paul Sansome tops the all-time list for appearances for a goalkeeper with a total of 357.

Then we have Harry Threadgold (343), Billy Moore (304) and Mervyn Cawston (242). Flahavan comes in at number five, having dislodged Trevor Roberts (188) earlier this season.

King Kevin's 319 (inc 8 sub) appearances inches him closer to the all-time top ten. He should pass Paul Clark's total of 322 in the next couple of weeks to move into No. 11. His next target is Tony Hadley (339) so, providing he commits himself to another season during the summer, he should enter the top ten sometime at the beginning of the 2005/06 season*.

(*There are 14 definite games left this season; add on another possible 4 for LDV Trophy Final and play-offs and Maher should move to within two games of Hadley's total by the end of this season.)

Yeah okay but hardly all-conquering are they, haven't done well in Europe and are struggling in the FA Cup and are out of the Carling Cup.

Anyways. back on topic....

Love the topics of debate on this board. For instance:

Bart v Darryl: arguing about which is better. The split decision would imply there's not much between them. Therefore, we have two quality keepers.

Increasing the home attendance: We actually have enough people that want to come and see us to even be talking about this!

Playing negatively away from home: The debate would suggest the team is actually good enough to take games to teams away from home sometimes! Essentilly this seems to be whether we are aiming for automatics or playoffs. Both these are unheard of in recent years!!

In short, all this debate points towards a quality season and Darryl is a hero.

I think many philosophy graduates would dispute that.

About which part?

Darryl only deserves praise today, without another awesome save we would of been leaving sixfields pointless. Another great performance.

Lord God Maher is actually under contract until the end of next season. Roll on his 500th appearance.

I personally thought Darryl was super today. pulled off two vital saves when we were 1-0 down and was a much responsible fr the win as Super Adam Barrett
