That’s really good to see.

This Club does an awful lot right at times, and I think we forget that because of who is at the top and all the bad stuff.

This Club is full of people who care, and push forward this type of thing, and long may it continue.

I never knew Dan, but he was one of us, a Shrimper so am deeply sorry to read this.

Don't want to hijack Dan's thread but we also lost another young Shrimper last week, a guy called Jon Gurel, taken by cancer in his 40s.

Puts stuff like the sale in real perspective unfortunately.

Same here, I thought they had missed it but they’ve obviously taken their time to put together a lovely article. Hats off to those at the club who put it together and I’m sure they will pay a fitting tribute to Dan.

It was Dan's funeral today. Very well attended and a very emotional service. Noticed Tom Lawrence in the church, the club and Tom have been superb IMO.

If ever a man deserved a front row seat in the Shrimpers Stand in the Sky, then it is Dan Kirby. RIP sir, and be there looking down on the team from above with the other much missed Shrimpers. Sadly, that stand is getting fuller all the time.

Yes, I had a mutual friend post a photo yesterday taken at his 30th birthday partya few years back of her with John and Dan. Made me quite sad. I hope he's at peace now.
