Oh yes, I loved him. Get him back on the mic! I still remember the frisson of excitement I got as he approached Anton's name on the team sheet. I believe he once had about four run ups at it.
He also once had problems with an opposition player calle Seamus. "See-mus", See-ay-mus"! Laugh? I thought I'd never start.
 
The best one that Gill did was A Lot O Cows Ski, which amused my 15 year old mind at the time. I remember a fella who played for Orient (!) called Tunji Banjo....what a great name that was! There was also the Southport footballer and Yorkshire cricketer called Arnold Sidebottom ! Quality!!
