The little shop just inside the entrance opposite Pitcher and Piano

Cod's way better than haddock.

When I lived in Manchester you only got one kind of fish in chip shops : fish.

The pies were a million times better up there and you could get steak and kidney puddings too.

No chance! Its another example of a North/South thing, the northerner in me will go for Haddock every time over Cod.

very hard, but my local chippie in Edinburgh had them. (along with deep-fried pizza, deep-fried Mars, cheeseburger in batter, Red Cola, and boiled sausage. Oh and only one type of fish- haddock)
Go to agree that haddock is best, specially with loads of salt & sauce.

Red cola, now you're talking. Why can't we get that down South, it's bloody lovely stuff.

salt and sauce. Excellent stuff. Tried to recreate the sauce by mixing vinegar and brown sauce but it didn't work.

red cola- great for colds (just warm it up) and hangovers. The ideal Scottish drink.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Really Ruthless garlic and chilli crisps. Yum, but make you fart like a wind-tunnel. Excellent!

I'm, gonna have to post a top three flavours, coz there are too many that I like to choose only one!!

Ready Salted - the classic crisp, plain and simple.

Worcester Sauce - a nice variation I think.

Roast Chicken - just bloody lovely IMO.

What about McCoy's grilled steak, that can't be ignored. Beef hula hoops are a bit hit as well but I had to go for Salt & Vinegar.
