We did not look like a league 1 team in waiting. Too many players had off days. 1-0 is not the worse result but have to play a lot lot better on Weds. They looked very threatening going forward.

Something's not right here.... Our away record was fantastic and our home record not so much... So why play sooo defensive and now chase a game which will put more pressure on us if we don't score in the first 30 minutes. If we play like today we're not going up. Crewe also played well on counter which is crucial on Wednesday as we will be attacking... I'm not liking this at all.

Looked like a possible offside on the goal? On seeing it again, thought the Crewe lad should have had a red card with that lunge, dreadful challenge! Not the best of results maybe (or particularly good game to watch) but everything to play for at RH and to me Crewe don't look all that.

Me too agree. We needed a goal Freddy up with Harris would of been my first move.

I'm undecided on starting Freddy purely based on match fitness and confidence. This, however, is the kind of debate that should be discussed over a pint in a pub. Alas, in this case I feel we'd be both be ******ed before coming to a conclusion!

Our home record recently is better than our away record and this tactic worked against Torquay and Oxford. We played the formation that I expected which has got us results recently. Wasnt our day today though, although we were very close on 3 occasions in the last 10 minutes from getting the draw.

We have our work cut out certainly.

Nearly got something in the last twenty minutes. Not going to be easy on Wednesday.......will have to play the ninety minutes at home like we played the last fifteen this evening. I KNEW I wanted to avoid Crewe.

Watching the two teams today, not as confident as i was before the game. Think its 50/50 now, rated our chances better than that pre kickoff. Too defensive until they scored, don't know why we don't go for the kill thats how Swindon and dare i say Crawley got promoted.

Had a few chances but ball didn't always for us or the wrong decisions were. KF had 2 good chances at the back end of the 1st half, Timlin had 2 good chances in the 2nd half, Moshni should have worked the keeper with his header and they played Hall very well IMO. He had a few occasions where he couldn't/didnt get his shot or cross away and wasn't his evening. Still feel quite confident for the home leg - should be a tense evening and if we can get the first goal, i think we will go onto win it ...

Reasonably 'happy' with that. Just wanted to go into the 2nd leg still with a good chance of winning the tie and I believe we have that. Really fancy us to win 2 nil at home. Tough games these play offs and comments like "**** or bust now!" with 25 mins of the first leg to go is nonsense.

Just had to keep it tight today, take a 0-0 or nick one - or if you are gonna lose, lose by 1.

All to play for, it's only half time!!

No feeling confident ahead of Wednesday. Seem to have us pretty sussed out, created very very little and couldn't see us ever scoring.

Too many poor passes and indecision between players for the first 75 minutes. We will need to pick up our play on wednesday if we are to go through.

I think he was level onside for the goal.

If I was Dave Martin I'd be quite annoyed that Leonard is ahead of him in the pecking order straight after coming back from a long injury. Don't see what he offers except a long throw. Thought we might have nicked something at the end there but Crewe deserved to win, outplayed us in midfield.

1-0 isn't the end of the world by any means. I'm confident we'll win the game on Wednesday night so i'm not that fussed that we've lost by a single goal tonight. Had we conceeded another to go 2 nil down then I would be thinking it's highly unlikely but as it is, all to play for.

Terrible marking from Clohessy, Mohsni was forced to run back for something he shouldn't have had to defend. Well done to Prosser who's kept us in the tie, let's hope it inspires us to thrash Crewe at Roots Hall!
