This is a REALLY good point. There always seems to be a desire on these forums to 'spend money'. If you look at who the best players are in our current squad, I think you'll find they all arrived on frees.

The Cresswell money won't touch the sides of the embargo situation as alluded to by smiffy earlier. Julian Bennett is on his day a very good player but two things concern me. 1| He is injury prone and 2| He's from the North. Could get "homesick".
