Remember when we were due to play Leeds on TV in 2008 (same scenario bringing forward a Tuesday game by 24hrs) we had already arranged to play Barnsley in the FA Cup on the Friday night (JCR got the winner for them) but Leeds kicked off about it and the TV idea was binned

As much as I like the idea of us being on Telly, why couldn't they televise the game on Tuesday? (OK, I can guess at the reason!) We're playing away on the Saturday before which doesn't give us much recovery time...

Because the TV company's and OB run football not the FA.

Champions League on the Tuesday night. I know our game is the most important one that week, but we'd struggle to beat Arsenal v Milan in a ratings war.

Great news. £30,000 in the pocket too. That probably covers the transfer fee of a player. :smiles: UTB

I remember when we played Canvey on Sky in the FA Cup, and Jeff King filled the screen. A chorus of "You Fat B*****d" rang round the pub :winking:

No doubt that rancid bollock Evans will ham it up like a Carry On star for the cameras.

I don't think he needs a TV camera to be an insufferable ****** Dick, if his performance during their JPT demise at RH is anything to go by .. however if he does raise it a notch i can see him getting a slap from someone

Bring it on. I can't wait to have the full game recorded so that I can watch that fat slob Evans getting his comeupance time after time after time. :winking:

I just hope that people that can make it do make it and dont take the option to watch on TV.
We all know its going to be a massive game and the boys need to see and hear a decent crowd

edit---- of course there will be a big crowd, I am forgetting its 'our cup final':winking:

I doubt crawley would have brought many any way , but i very much doubt they will bring more than 200 now.

I reckon a home crowd of say 7500 will now drop to say 5.5-6k

Is the extra tv revenue worth the difference in gate?
