Cowley? Yet another Hammers trialist?

It would appear so...

Hamster Youngster Handed Trial

Not a problem though, is it? After all, at least one recent "Boleyn reject" has turned out to be rather good, hasn't he...?

Am I alone in thinking that we are now playing , wait for abuse, "the West Ham way" ? Slick passing on the deck and crisp movement off the ball .

Could this be due to Paul Brush's influence as a coach?

How many players have we got Directly from the Hamsters ?

I can only think of , Brush, Lampard, Clark,

Cole and Freddy were via Grays
Anton was via Barnsley

Chapman was only a 1 game loan and I thought Boere was via somewhere as well but i am not sure

I must of missed some.......

Mick Beesley & Derek Woodley.

We signed Anton direct from the Hamsters he started at Barnsley.

Thought Boere was direct from them as well.

Kenny Brown and Lee Hodges?..

Only on loan mind...

Was Freddy really a West Spam reject? Didn't he reject a new contract and decide to go on to a proper club?

Anyone planning to go to the game? Just had done a quick Google search on Cowley and he is described as having tremendous technique, touch and ball control, but does not have a huge physical presence (sounds a bit like Jay Smith).  He can play left or right midfield and is also comfortable in the middle.  He excels in dead ball situations and attacking areas.

Sounds promising.  However the above information was taken from a West Spam website so make of that what you will.

As always you live in hope but experience tells you he's bound to be sh!t!

I think we got Jeroen Boere from Palace. I seem to remember going to an away game there many moons ago and in the programe was a picture of Boere with the title 'Palace Hot Shots' or something like that.

Billy Adams, Mick Beesley, Sid Bell, Norman Bleanch, Kenny Brown, Lee Chapman, Steven Clark, Herman Conway, Charlie Cox, Andy Edwards, Lee Hodges, Frank Lampard, Tudor Martin, Anton Otulakowski, Bill Thirlaway, Charlie Thompson, Don Travis, Derek Woodley and Peter Storrie

Just dug out the old programe. Looks like I was right and wrong.
Yes we got him from Palace, but we had already signed him by the time we played them at Selhurst Park. Not sure where I remember the picture from, unless I have another Palace programe somewhere.
£150K we paid Palace. Money well spent I 'm sure you will all agree.
