Couple of bits of north bank feedback

Yer Blues

Not Always Sarcastic ⭐🦐
Couple of bits of feedback from the Southend game.

The seats in section NA were filthy and covered in a layer of dirt/dust.

Also there was no working speaker in that section of the stand.

I didn't see the QR code posters so haven't relayed back but perhaps this could be raised.

All round handyman needed (part time maybe) to check out smaller issues around the stadium which often pop up,just a thought.

We were in the east stand block D and the lighting in that section is very poor and the steps narrow so it needs better lighting installed.Wont sit in east by choice very cramped but top marks to the toilets, very clean and hot water,a lot better that what we get in the west .

They have one, but rely on us to bring these matters to their attention.

Not going to get any quick answers this week as Rylee is on holiday but will feed back.

@OldBlueLady is it possible to ask/feedback the below please. Some to address now and some for next season. Particularly regarding the admin fees to switch. Which most feel is a bit of an **** take.

With the club apparently charging some fans to switch and having to ring up or visit the ticket office to do so, the take up to switch is going to be tiny.

It needs to be FREE for season card holders to switch. The North Bank wasn't even an option at the start of the season. So why charge the fans to move? What is the fee for?

You should be able to switch online. Much like a season card holder claiming their free tickets (for 3 games) is it not possible for a season card holder to obtain a ticket online for the North Bank for the remaining games this season?

Alternatively, The NW gate should be open and fans allowed to free roam between West and North Bank, should they wish. Like many other NL grounds. Even if that means giving a couple of stewards a clicker to monitor numbers in and out.

It should be unreserved seating in the NB, first come first served. Like many other NL grounds. Tickets shouldn’t really be sold/given to families/guests/comps etc for this section either, as this will be very counter productive.

The area needs to be properly advertised as the “home end” next season.

Tickets in this area should be made the cheapest in the stadium. Both in terms of season cards and Matchday prices.

Long term, safe-standing and home fans only in a bigger and improved North Bank must be the aim.

There's a number of fans that would like to go in the North Bank and create a better atmosphere at RH. But it has been made very difficult to do so, currently. No doubt the club has many challenges and problems to solve over the coming months. But, I suspect most will therefore remain where they are at the moment until the above changes are implemented.

I'll take your comments back @Smiffy, but believe this is worth mentioning. We're not a typical NL league nor do we have, or plan to have, a typical NL ground.

I believe you'll be told you can't just have freedom to roam across the North and West Stand for safety and security reasons. A seat is sold to a person whose information is on the records, if you have free movement, you can't identify perpetrators, and stewards are allocated to stands so if you suddenly had mass movement, it would cause safety problems.

Also, if they don't think safe standing is a possibility in the North, then they are not going to go back to terracing.

Thanks - my comment on return of terracing was more for the proposed redevelopment of the north stand rather than a 'now' suggestion. Although having said that - if the seats are to be removed anyway for the redevelopment, could it be done a few years early with the appropriate crush barriers put in! Might even get some supporters help in removing the seats.

A Sittingbourne fan had asked on a Dagger forum about their experiences visiting SUFC. Aside from the sub par catering, toilets, view and legroom, it was revealed that broken seats in that stand had caused one Dagger an injury and he had suffered further after the game.
Just a heads up perhaps to check these seats.

Is switching seats even an issue as the ground is limited by total attendance for safety reasons ? If so reselling season tickets isn’t even possible ?
