Could this be the answer to our goal scoring problems?

Me. When I was at school, I was the weedy speccy kid. Because I could not really do anything else I just generally hung around somewhere near the penalty area. On one occasion the ball just hit the stationary me, and went in the net. Another time the ball just rebounded to the again, stationary me, and I scuffed the ball into the goal. Two goals would make me a high scorer at SUFC at the moment. They all count.

Ok if not him. Who would people sign? .
I’m fed up with saying this but we could have got Jermaine Francis for nothing, I know his not a natural forward but is a massive threat going forward from wide positions and creates a lot of chances for others, back at Barnet now after a loan spell at Braintree and didn’t even get on the bench for Barnet yesterday, what a waste of talent, John still must of had a eye on him at one point surely

You are Tom Hopper and I claim my £5.

how about bringing our young player who`s been banging in the goals ,Jack Stone back from Maldon & Tiptree and giving him a few minutes the last three games .

One appearance and no goals from what I can see. Hasn’t made the squad in the last 4, but unsure if that’s due to injury. So not sure that’s much of a possibility. Wouldn’t mind giving Zlatev or Maguranyanga some minutes if the playoffs become mathematically impossible though. Both had impressive seasons in the academy, but they obviously need to be ready mentally.

How about we put some crosses in early so our strikers can attack the ball rather than being underneath it (also rather than play it back 5 yards allowing the defenders time to retreat and to protect the 6 yard box. The amount of times we could have dropped a ball behind the defenders was mind boggling).

How about we play a ball into the strikers feet as they're 20 yards out and not 40 yards back to goal?

How about we play our strikers next to each other so they can form a partnership and work as a pair (a la Yorke and Cole or even Goater and Eastwood) and not let one keep roaming out to the right.

How about we go a little more direct and play the strikers off the shoulders off of the defenders allowing our midfield to press forward (all 5 of them).

How about we play a system that allows one of our capable strikers to actually become a goalscorer?

Just a few thoughts...
