My firm has split the department in two.

Half work remotely for the next fortnight then we swap.

My building access is even being revoked for this period.

Same with me. Someone in the office was diagnosed last night. Today tomorrow we are all working from home . Next 2 weeks everyone on the same floor as the person diagnosed works from home. The rest of us are split into home/ work and swap each week with a weekly deep clean

Apparently Mikel Arteta did not have direct contact with the Olympiakos chairman so caught it from somewhere else or from someone who did have direct contact.
Just shows how easy it is to catch. Has our government done enough or have other countries overreacted?

The decision not to close schools was based on scientific advice, it will be interesting to see how that advice differs from most other countries.

Schools will be shut for easter anyhow. Has anyone thought who'll pick up the childcare if schools shut? The grandparents - as it's highly unlikely that parents will also stay off work. And you think those kids will patiently sit at home for two weeks?

All games will be postponed soon. It sounds like they are going to see out this weekends fixtures(The ones that doesn't have any staff linked to the virus), and then make a decision.

Here in France all schools, colleges, universities and even creches will be closed from Monday until further notice. Apparently there are 12 million kids / young adults attending these institutions! Partial unemployment rules for parents to take time off to look after them. Anyone over 70 asked not to go out. Local elections - which are well supported here - due to be held on Sunday are still going ahead but you have to take your own pen to avoid passing anything on! Everyone shakes hands or kisses cheeks here at the slightest recognition of you and this is another move Macron announced asking everyone to stop doing this.

Businesses told that they can delay any government payments due in March - tax, etc - without penalty. Bet Ron wishes UK did the same.

All schools are shut here now for the next two weeks (at least).As grandparents we'll be doing our bit from tonight.Schools in the UK will be shut soon too;IMO.

It was interesting to see the take from the QT audience (in West Bromich) last night.They seemed much more concerned about the Coronavirus that the previous week's audience in leafy Surrey.

So yesterday on the tele, an MP comes on giving advice, normal stuff, wash hands warm water, 20 seconds or more, don't touch face. Then says, ''And everyone should carry one of these around with them'', and holds up a hand gel. Ggrr. So annoying, as I've been looking for it for 2 weeks. He's living in a different world to the general public, as I've looked everywhere, and can't find even one. I wanted some for me, my daughter and a couple of elderly neighbours that keep asking me to get some for them. Has anyone seen any locally? Not online.
