London streets very quite in the main. Mind you, those who are about still can't cross the ****ing road and have to step out in front of lorries at the last second.

'Furlough' is a new word to me - had to look it up!

Par for the course in the contractor game.

I would be surprised if many contractors at my client are not furloughed. I may escape because I write the software that produces the numbers that lets the bank quantify their exposure.

You and all Covid 19 posts are now in a new temporary forum at the top of Chit-Chat for all things to do with the current health problems we are all facing and to keep everything in one place.

Lets hope we can close it soon.

Please add your own topics of discussion and treat it as you would any other forum on here.

We will be moving some of the existing posts, either to their own threads or merging them into existing ones.

Thanks all and keep safe,

John. x

Just got back from Tesco princes road Chelmsford. Staff doing a great job there, taped off floors at 2 meters apart and staff actually reprimanding people not adhering to it. We made a list expecting to get about half of it and the only things we couldn't get were tissues and hand soap. Most people being sensible and actually very encouraging. The checkout guy said they were getting safety glass installed later this week as protection on the checkouts.

Well done you. I run about 2 miles and I really struggle. It's very different from running on a treadmill!

Presume there's no hills round your way?. Where i am in Leigh, i'm spoilt for choice with them, & always do 2-3 hill sessions each week.

Went out for one earlier just after 10am for about 18-20 mins, everywhere was deserted, which is good.

That's a great run and view, Belton Way, Marine Parade.

I live on a particularly steep hill, which is always the uphill finish to my 10k run. It's a killer, but it would be really good for hill sprints. What kind of length run and rest should I be looking at?

Are there any left? Threshers, Unwins etc went ages ago, just Majestic type up market wine sellers left, in the main, and super markets?
Majestic haven't closed (aprt from two days last week). All supermarkets sell wines, spirits and beer so this probably balances things up a bit.
