Agreed. Totally understand why he had to go but I'm gutted as, when he wanted to be, he was one of the more talented players at the club.

Wish him well and hope for his sake he sorts himself out.

I think everyones agreed that he has the talent but lacks commitment. Does anyone think maybe tilly should have tried a month to month or even week to week contract as a way of trying to make him work harder?

Oh no, let's not start this again...

There was much sorrow amongst the Southend faithful to see Corbett frittering his talent away, and even though the Club had steaked their future on him, when the chips were down, Jimmy was found wanting. Ultimately, there was no plaice for him at SUFC - so Jimmy now has to burger off and find another team with which to earn his crust. However, being a well-bread footballer, there's a chance that our Jim may yet bring home the bacon...

I echo that, Terry. Despite my frivolity above, I'm genuinely sad that things haven't worked out for him. If he does have health problems, if he could get those sorted out, I hope Tilly has offered him a glimmer of hope that the door is not closed for him at Roots Hall...
