confession time - longest time without seeing a SUFC game

Came back for a game early december 2007 2008 season and chose right we won 4 1 for the life of me cant remember who it was, but i do know they had a guy sent off.Havnt seen a game since, so right now for me.

Yeovil....

1-0 down at half time and went on to score 4 in the 2nd with Freddy coming off the bench to score twice.

or Huddersfield

Got a feeling we beat them 4-1 after Frank Sinclair decided to kill Macca.

I missed a few years when I was about 16 and then I was going here and there for a while, I really re-discovered my obsession with the Blues when we near the bottom of the league and in danger of going bust 5/6 years ago!

The game im thinking of Dave, Fred had long gone, and i believe it was either Macca or Bailey there player lost it and nearly cut him in two with a tackle strait red right under the west stand. Still anyway right game to see.

Might have been Huddersfield as Frank Sinclair all but killed Macca and got a straight red. Think Fred was there then though so maybe not.

Its going to annoy me now trying to work it out.

Started playing Saturday footy in the early 90's and missed much of our first Division 2/1st Division/Championship campaign, I only got a season ticket again once we sank back to the bottom rung (coinciding with torn ankle ligaments!).

Still got to the odd evening game in that time but I reckon I must have gone more than a season without seeing a game.

Yes it was 4-1 against Huddersfield in December 2007, first season back at this level so Fred had gone by then. Sinclair did get sent off as well as their keeper. Strangely there were 2 red cards in the game and yet no yellows, not often that happens. Also Leon Clarke scored his final goal for us.

I just about made it through the Alvin Martin era without losing my will to live, but around then I was playing a lot in a band for a year or so which was preferable to watching the Rob Newman galacticos policy fall on its arse.
