on the other hand, that could be because its more obvious. perhaps a number of those seats had been sold, but because its next to the away end they are checking more thoroughly when someone buys there.

Possibly E M but still showing as available online now, I would like to see the them sold to home or away fans rather than empty seats and lost revenue to our football club.

Yes less than 100 left now, front 3 rows of the away end are netted apparently and block E3 has been used for segregation (Due to your extra allocation in home areas) so that must have lost about 600-700 seats. I wonder if we might sell the right hand half of E3 to home fans leaving a segregation area of about 200 seats to be netted. I am not sure if the hospitality bxs etc are included in the capacity figures quoted but we must be looking at about 9500 on the day.

They will probably chuck a few out who disobey the ground rules about standing and who argue with the stewards the rest sit down very quickly after that!
Good luck making all those who want to stand sit. If you think your stewards are going to be able to make every single person sit down you're very wrong. I bet your stewards weren't able to make the likes of Leeds and Preston (I know all the Preston fans stood because i remember seeing it on the telly) sit down so why would they be able to make us sit down?

I don't see why anyone would want to sit down in the away end at a derby game unless physically unable.

Yes your last sentence says it all Dan, some of your fans on here have already spoken out against it due to concerns for the elderly, infirm and of course children.

Agree 100%, I'm in a large group including kids, we are in row F, if all stand in front of us the kids won't see anything. We go away quite a lot, and most fans are respectful, so don't see it as being a big issue.

The front couple of rows are likely to be netted SJ and the stands at the WHCS are pretty steep so the kids should get a decent view.

If I can stand without obstructing anyone's view I will, but if I think I'm blocking anyone's view behind me, or if I'm asked to, I will sit down. Pretty simple.

Keen just named as boss also, think the rest of them tickets will go now, wat a first game for him eh, biggest Derby in Essex

It's always enjoyable to watch the stewarts work tirelessly for 10-15 minutes to ask fans to sit down, get a 50% success rate and then start the chant "Stand up if you hate Col Ewe!". Gets me every time! :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

Hi Dan,

In last few seasons Stewards rarely try to fully enforce seating for away fans but will work to ensure that the gangways are kept clear and that there isn't overcrowding in the back few rows where people just try to congregate naturally - normally seems to go ok but do be prepared for the bouncers in yellow jackets (or "response crew" as they are officially labelled) to pop up mob-handed and potentially remove a couple of people to ensure they get there message accross.

For Millwall, Orient and Preston in recent years there hasn't been any significant issues - you generally find the back half of the blocks tends to stand but plenty towards the front sit.

I would say in the ground it will be fairly relaxed (unless there is persitent problems with people standing on stairways or overcrowding in certain rows) but outside may be a bit more draconion as that will be down to Essex Police who have enforced overtime I beleive where plenty of our counties finest will be annoyed that they aren't sat at home eating turkey sandwiches and will look to fill their time by looking for confrontation where it doesn't exist.

It hasn't happened before but it really wouldn't suprise me if the away fans were kept back for 20 minutes or so to keep the main body of the fans apart but that's just my hunch

exactly. If people are seating behind me then its totally wrong to just stand up in front of them but unfortunately many people dont give a **** as its all about them.
