Col******r miss out again...

SIAK, I will follow your instructions and close the thread from my perspective and move on. I agree re: the announcer thread.

I think I use this site for the wrong reasons, to gain important information but with that goes sifting through the humour you mention and I don't regard Col Ewe fans as scum, although you do not either, but some on this post do.

Opinions differ.

Damn! and I thought you would particularly like my joke about the storm in a T-Cup!

I think of this board as more of a great meeting place than a library. Sure there are plenty of very good, interesting and informative threads - to carry on the analogy, there are lots of tables with people sat around discussing who should be dropped, who we should buy or when a player might be back from injury. At other tables passions run a bit higher as fans debate the finer points of Match-day ettiquette. And over in the corners some of the more lighthearted members are having a laugh and a joke, maybe a tasteless punning compe-tit-ion. It's a big room, so there is plenty of room for everyone. I don't think there are any wrong reasons for coming in to the room. Each person is free to use it as they see fit, to take from it what they want or need.

I am 48 (going on 14 sometimes...) and I spend most of my time looking after other people. When I come into the Shrimperzone Community, it is not only to find out the latest about the team I have loved for nigh on 40 years, it is to relax and have a bit of fun too.

When you get to Forest, Prodigal, give the team we both love an extra cheer from me. And give the Ref some extra abuse as well!

SIAK, I am on a learning curve, I returned to SUFC at the beginning of last season after having to go missing for five years and things have changed , much for the better but can't get to grips with this website thing. you see, I am like Victor Meldrew in real life, I sit in the West Stand, eat my sandwiches, have my flask and only sing if I feel like it. I never stand up to sing 'that' song, and only go to about three away games a season, always insisting in sitting in my designated seat.

I don't get the humour, take the Kelly Burgess thing, 50 plus posts but do any confirm she has gone? No.

She has by the way.

And just as much a supporter as any of the rest of us. I get the "prodigal son" bit now - hope you weren't being unfaithful with another football team

I think that how you support, which matches you go to, whether you sit or stand, are all private matters and no one elses business. Treat SZ as I've suggested, and you won't go far wrong!

Thanks for the info, by the way, I was enjoying the punning so much that I never got around to wondering if she had gone or not!

I thought that that was what happened to Orient in the second half of the season!
