cockles is a dad

I imagine we could quite successfully put several who might be considering the idea off of it completely!

True but also very rewarding at times - though not in financial sense !

I have maximum faith in the youth of England.

They will have the mess to sort out that succesive governments have bestowed upon them !!

Oh absolutely. I wouldn't be without mine for all the money in the world, they might infuriate me continuously but they also brighten my days. Stroppy teens one minute and loving and thoughtful the next. I am that tigress poised to strike where my children are concerned.

Not fans of the soaps at all then? Baby Oscar in Neighbours (to Lynn Scully) a year or so ago and baby Oscar in Easties very recently!

Seriously though, nice name but will probably find himself in a class with several others when he gets to school - congrats again, hope you're not having too many sleepless nights!

I cant vouch for sir Andy of cockles but i dont watch either of the soaps mentioned and there is not one Oscar other than mine in the whole school let alone class.

No, there won't be yet, but it is the "soap" effect, a well known phenomenom seen in preschools and schools. When Ashley and Maxine had their Joshua on Corry, about 4 years later there were suddenly about 8 of them in every class, and that's not an isolated example. Similarly, when Freddy Eastwood was banging them in for fun at Southend, there was a whole mass explosion of Freddys registered at the pre-school I worked in. People just hear a name and it makes a vague impression, but trouble is, loads of other parents are doing the same thing!

Reminds me of when the mighty Cagigao debuted for Southend.
I used to shout "Francisco" at school and half the class would turn around!!

Back on Topic....

Cockles will make a great dad I'm sure .....this is a life changing moment for him.....

Great name Oscar.....

Congrats Andy

I did hear a rumour that the Hollywood bigwigs were so impressed with Porkys performance on Britains Biggest Loser that they are considering re-naming some awards show in honour of his son ... not sure if there's any truth in it though
