Having just watched the goals on BW, It's an outstanding run by Gillespie, but he isn't the strongest of players and he pushes Clarke over not once, but twice in a single run. Barrett just backs off him as runs into the box and gives him all the space in the world to slot a ball through and gift Brooker a goal.

Terrible goal to concede.

Atmosphere wise it was a bit of a downer, but the one thing everyone present displays by making it to Cheltenham on a God awful journey, both ways is a passion for the Blues. Whether that manifests itself in quietly watching the game, or getting verbal, in whatever manner, it is an expression of passion, and I have no problem however that passion is expressed. Remove the passion and you kill football as we know in this country.

I couldn't disagree more. As has been expressed on previous threads, passion FOR your club is all about being a SUPPORTER not a knocker. If your "passion" for your club is expressed by baiting one of your own team when he is warming up and thinking it funny that when he responds to their chants of "give us a wave" they boo him, then they are not there to support the team, they are there for a lads night out where the football is secondary to their own small-minded and puerile idea of a fun time, and they would not be missed at all if they went to the Greyhounds or whatever instead. Frankly they are knobs.

And a further point: When football came closest to dying as a mass spectator sport in this country, it was when fan's passion for their team was shown by rampaging round the country looking for a ruck with any opposing "firm". Clearly how you express your passion for your club DOES matter.

Good and I applaud your ability to espress a totally opposite opinion. I too do not agree with the baiting of a certain squad member before he actually takes part in the game, but do not disagree with people having the freedom to express it.

I am not in the camp of airing my view and fostering it others ( and I'm not saying that you do either, as thisa is quoting your post), however if I am allowed the freedom to air my views, then I have to accept the freedom of others to air theirs.

Once again, whether I agree with them or not is another matter entirely.
