Che is on his way back

He offers nothing as a player that we dont have already and is in my book a step backwards. .

Please dont uttter those words in the same sentence as a reference to Che.....brings back harrowing nightmares of him 'stepping backwards' and back pedalling everytime Martin Bullock run at him.....

To be fair, he will undoubtedly be cheap, and lets not forget he was actually 'OK' last year in a Div one winning side....playing nearly every game. Can cover both full back positions and I probably prefer him at LB then Hunt. Hope he has cut that shocking barnet he wore at Palace though.

I just wish we had kept the same squad that got us promoted. I will like to see Che back as a squad player but I doubt he wants that, if hammell goes we will be screwed at left back though.

che wont go anywhere if hammell goes. if he does our only current back up is barrett, putting sodje in the middle. not hunt cos i think he is useless.

He's not Championship standard but was a key part of the promotion winning team and never let us down in League 1. We are back in League 1, therefore he will be useful cover for Hammell.

Personally I thought he was carried by the fact that the rest of the defence we very solid. I stand by the fact he is a poor player - Cant fault his commiment but he gets done time after time by a decent winger.

No No No ...surely we can find better cover than Che

Shame we can't offer you a one year deal as a supporter, because I think with your radical views, most of us would give you a 'free'.

Nothing personal, but you have some strange opinions. Still, as long as Southampton win on sunday,eh?

Why do you purport to speak for others, is your own voice so worthless? Face it Tilson was way out of his depth this year and if we have the same next year then I personally want a change. However, he's comfortable now because naive Ron has given him a three year deal.

Who gives a **** whether we beat Southampton or not we're still down. Your views are strange to me.

Oh no now you've gone and done it I've only just got over the flashbacks from that game.Is there a doctor in the house?

We got a young left back in our youth team and he also got Youth player of the year, so surely he is better back up than Wilson ???

I wouldn't put it to a vote BT, i really wouldn't :)

That's not why he left actually, it was because Tilson only offered him a one year deal. Tilson was happy to take a three year deal for himself but offer peanuts to players who had got him where he was. Maybe Tilly was only worth a one year deal - as if we're struggling mid table next year I can see a lot of fans calling for changes.

Bentley specifically said when he left that he did so because at his age he needed first team football and couldnt afford to be in the reserves which he wouldif he stayed here.

He only played a handful of games last season and this year would have only played 4 or 5 maximum.

Does it therefore make any financial sense whatsoever just to offer him a 2 or 3 year deal ?

Whilst Bentley would have been useful I totally agree that a one year deal was right, and that he made the right choice to get first team football.

He was as solid as a rock in our promotion season something which hammel has been far from all season!!!

Bring back Che who has passion and wants to play for this club unlike a few of the pre madonnas that have graced roots hall this season.

Get him back playing and then judge him!

I think he may have thought that he'd only play 4/5 games but as it turned out I reckon he'd have played a good 20 matches.
