Very weird move. Can’t help but feel he’s much better than that. I wonder if something went wrong somewhere as he seemed to be cruising through the ranks and was really highly rated by a lot of people at Spurs. I was so surprised to see him released.
 
Lots of interesting comments from PT fans. Rumours are he was on £1,500-£3,000 a week and was their highest paid player. Someone else reckoned they were paying for regular flights and accommodation for his mates to combat home sickness. They seemed to rate him so I think it’s probably a case of him not settling rather than not cutting the mustard. I think he’ll be after a fairly local league club to be honest.
