With good man management skills Tilson could make him into a great player with no attitude problem. WE NEED GOALS!!!

Leon Knight
Do we really need a new Luke Guttridge/Michael Ricketts?
Like I said...with good man management skills!
The same skills that did so well with Gutts and Ricketts?

Tilly is no miracle worker, if players have attitudes he cant wave a magic wand.

Saying that Id actually be delighted to have Leon Knight come to us and agree we need someone able to score goals.

Are you blaming Tilson for those two not working out?

(literally in Rickett's case)

Quote[/b] ]Rumour has it that Ritchie was sacked from barnsley because of his inactiveness in the transfer market despite players being offered to him. This ****ed the board off as its clear their squad isn't good enough...

That why Tilson is not ready to manage the Premiership or club like WBA & Wolves in Championship as you need a big contract to find players you need to improve the team. Its easy to do it on LMA 2007 or FM2007 but not in real life.

As a replacement for Eastwood I'd take him (although he is a proven failure at this level). As a partner for Eastwood I don't think he'd work. Eastwood and Knight both play at their best working off a targetman. Hopefully Lee Bradbury's return will show that in Eastwood's case at least.

Have you read The Goat's book? Man-Management is supposed to be Tilly's strength.

Come back Graeme, all is forgiven...

Come on lets get Jones out of retirement, at least when all the serial whingers at Roots Hall start moaning about a player it will be justified. Just imagine a strike force of Jones and Richards......enough to strike terror in to any defence!!

Are you sure? At the beginning of this season I probably would have agreed with you, but now after seeing Freddy fail to link up well with either Harrold or Paynter both supposed target-men, I'm not so sure.

Freddy does most of his work from deep and then running at defenders. This has meant any headers Harrold has won (albeit very few) go straight through to the opposition keeper.

I think a player like Knight who runs the line making runs behind the opposition defence is something we have been crying out for this season, and it might force us to play the ball along the floor a bit more...

Paynter isn't a targetman, and Matty Harrold, bless him, just isn't very good.

Eastwood needs someone alongside who is strong enough to push the defence back and allow Eastwood space to play his football, and brave enough to take the kicks that come his way. Fred played his best football for us alongside Goater who was perfect for that role. Bradbury plays it well too, because he's physical enough for the part and he's also a very clever player who looks to play Eastwood in in the areas where Eastwood loves to play his football. When he hasn't got someone there to play that role, Eastwood becomes easier to mark because the defensive line can just push up to where he is standing. Thats why Wayne Gray had no real future here, because he always wanted to work the channels (like Paynter often does), which leaves Eastwood often isolated in the middle.

every single team we will play this season have at least a couple of former prem players and a large amount of players to choose from. we have freddy, imagine how good it could be if we had someone who played as well as him alongside him.

cnt believe we didnt get ne1 today.

The reason the Scum are getting Hamsters on loan is they are owned by a Hamster fan and his company sponsors them so I am told by my guvnor who is a hamster!
Yep, Cull Ewe are owned by the bloke who owns Jobserve, who sponsor the Hamsters.
Also Alan Pardew wants the lad to play and train with his old mate Jamie Cureton and learn a bit about being a striker.
