LOL! I am going to MK Dons tomorrow, Chelsea, Maybe Stockport and definatly Orient ;)

Was having a chat with a mate and we were talking about Facebook and meeting people, we then got onto the conversation of Match.com. I have never used anything like it before and my mate was saying its brilliant.

Am I going into a point of desperation using an online dating service to find my perfect girlfriend? Or would I be using it just to get my nuts wet?

Go for it, just don't use a photo of yourself ;)

Go for it Ricey, what have you got to lose? I know plenty of people who've used it & swear by it. Providing you avoid "the players" & are as honest, you will do ok? I think you can have a free 3 day trial, so if that is the case, go for it!

Personality, Personality, Personality.

You learn nothing at all on the internet.

But you good get lucky.

Good point, but it enables you to cut through a lot of crap & you find out whether have much in common before meeting. Once you've made contact, you can swap emails & chat just to see if you click!

My mate signed up on a dating website as a joke (got drunk one night with another friend and thought 'why not?'). She's been with him for nearly 4 years now, so can't see a problem with it, just be careful who you might meet. They might post up one picture and state what they 'really' do, but then turn out to look like a right minger and do a completely different job.

You might even meet the girl of your dreams down the footie. I might Mr Vange Shrimper through SUFC_Al and Were Not Cockneys down the Spread after a game!

Never know, HAHA! I am not sure whether I am going to bother or not. I have had a chat with a few of my mates and they have all said good things about dating sites. It would be more as a laugh. I don't intend to find the love of my life but if I do then its a bonus!!

Yes I am sure that there must be some potential benefits, but opposites also attract.

It enables some to pursue their own interests/hobbies, separately from within a relationship [the best of both worlds].

Retaining of some independent pastimes can be beneficial to both, long term.
