Yes but it is their choice who they sub contract out to. c2c have no say who maintains the infrastructure they are forced to have Network Rail manage this area, so cant be held accountable whereas Network Rail do have the choice, and thus are accountable

To be fair, Hil, you dont use it 10 times a week, for 5 hours plus, at a cost of over £2000 at peak times - it suddenly seems a lot different then....

I don't care whose fault the problems are, the service is at times diabolical, and how they can justify fare increases I do not know.

C2c get a lot of money out of us and they should therefore be held responsible for the delays.

well said Steve, but don't let Bob hear you say that, he'll leap to their defence.....

Well I have been using the line since 1989 when it really was the misery line, so any the slight inconvenience now pales into insignifcance compared to then.

I will never defend them if a train fails or not enough drivers but when the delay is down to tracks or overheads then I cannot blame them. You also forget to mention that the three years previous the you got discounts on the price. So now they are hitting their chartered service levels they are allowed to increase the costs. In fact most rail companies across Britain are increasing their fares so it is not just c2c.

Just feel sorry for the FGE bods who pay more than us for horrible cr*ppy trains

Train delays don't bother me too much, as long as I've got a seat and the laptop is charged! CM4 makes the journey go much quicker....

I am a fan of FGE myself made quite a few trips in the last few weeks and use FGE quite a bit always found it pretty good and fair.

Much prefer it too C2C

Maybe thats because it goes to where you live?? Isnt that Hockley and from my recollection c2c does not go anywhere near there. Also dont worry FM come April they will both be c2c!!

Stop moaning you lot. You're not working in a sweatshop in Bangladesh, you get paid well for working in London - I just hope the trains being delayed is the only thing that upsets you in your day

Ok- but imagine getting a faulty product from Debenhams almost every time you buy from there. Oh and you can't shop in another shop. And you HAVE to buy it for work. Every day.

I think you'd be ****ed off as well.

Naps, before I drove I had to get a bus from Canewdon on a very, very, very limited service. They turned a 15 minute journey into a 45 minute one, halved the service and charged more a month for my pass then I pay for my parking now. My work hours were dictated to me by the cr*ppy service and on more then one occasion the buses were cancelled and I was literally left stranded at some deserted bus stop on my own.

I moaned - I signed a petition and I wrote to my MP. It made it a bit better. If you're so enraged - do something.
