Yes but it is their choice who they sub contract out to. c2c have no say who maintains the infrastructure they are forced to have Network Rail manage this area, so cant be held accountable whereas Network Rail do have the choice, and thus are accountable[b said:Quote[/b] (Yorkshire Blue @ Jan. 07 2004,11:08)]But to use your argument again, Railtrack would have sub-contracted the track repair out to someone like Jarvis, so you can't blame them (or their successor, Network Rail).....
So blame them for it then.[b said:Quote[/b] (Leeboy @ Jan. 07 2004,11:53)]D:Ream was'nt it?
I know, i have to live with it too when i use c2c. It aint good, i know, but i've just learnt to live with it.[b said:Quote[/b] (Leeboy @ Jan. 07 2004,11:43)]but us Commuters are fed up with it Vange, especially after putting the prices up again, so we have a right to moan.
To be fair, Hil, you dont use it 10 times a week, for 5 hours plus, at a cost of over £2000 at peak times - it suddenly seems a lot different then....[b said:Quote[/b] (Vange Shrimper @ Jan. 07 2004,12:54)]I know, i have to live with it too when i use c2c. Typical liberal.[b said:Quote[/b] (Mrs McScriven @ Jan. 07 2004,18:45)]Stop moaning you lot. You're not working in a sweatshop in Bangladesh, you get paid well for working in London - I just hope the trains being delayed is the only thing that upsets you in your day
Ok- but imagine getting a faulty product from Debenhams almost every time you buy from there. Oh and you can't shop in another shop. And you HAVE to buy it for work. Every day.[b said:Quote[/b] (Mrs McScriven @ Jan. 07 2004,18:54)]No actually - I expect a service I pay for, Im all for moaning when needs be (as Debenhams have just discovered) but you've spent 4 pages ranting about it. Get over it!!
Good for you. Maybe I should move to Canewdon instead?![b said:Quote[/b] (Mrs McScriven @ Jan. 07 2004,19:20)]Naps, before I drove I had to get a bus from Canewdon on a very, very, very limited service. They turned a 15 minute journey into a 45 minute one, halved the service and charged more a month for my pass then I pay for my parking now. My work hours were dictated to me by the cr*ppy service and on more then one occasion the buses were cancelled and I was literally left stranded at some deserted bus stop on my own.
I moaned - I signed a petition and I wrote to my MP. It made it a bit better. If you're so enraged - do something.
