Bury away support

I'm tempted to put a couple of quid on Bury to win. What are the odds on a Bury win?

All the classic signs of a shock defeat are there, from the over-confidence of fans discussing how many we should win by, to the Bury fans writing off their chances, to not having conceded at home for _nearly_ two months, plus only lost twice in 19. We have a big game v Bristol Rovers coming up as well, our central midfielders are both 2 bookings away from a suspension.

Odds on a Bury win (taken from The Fitter dot com)

1-0 Fat Chance
2-0 No Chance
3-0 Your 'avin a larf
4-0 Get real

Lets hope this post don't come back and bite my arse

That would have been funny... the only supporter on the Bury coach being an exiled Shrimper.

It would make for some interesting looks when I got off the coach at Roots Hall, proudly wearing my new Southend shirt.

I actually was planning to contact the people who ran the coach a couple of weeks ago, but the fact that I have three essays due next week made me decide that I couldn't make the journey. Now I wish that I would have, just so I could see the reply they would have given me.

Slight tangent here but loved those pics. who remembers the good old days when we used to change ends behind the West stand at half time. and pass pleasantries with the away fans, I particularly remember one or two frank exchange of views with likes of Col Ewe and Brentford fans!! ah happy days, innocent times

Northampton highest away support at Roots Hall? I'm sure Cambridge took more.

Shrewsbury brought 88 on Tuesday that's the lowest so far I think. Looks like that's going to be beaten on Saturday not 1 coach booking

Luton in the FA Cup?
I was very drunk watching it in the pub but it looked like there were a few in?

None of these come close to Wimbledon in the League Cup though. We were seriously trying to work out whether there were more staff from Wimbledon there. Poor sods.

Anyone know the exact number?

Yes, indeed! I was but a nipper, my big brother (it's all his fault, as I have explained before) used to take me. The cursing if the away team won the toss and decided to kick the "wrong" way, and we all had to scramble round to the other end.

512 even before they knew they were rubbish! That's pretty poor, I'd expect us to take about 1,500-2,000 to their place in March.

Anybody know when the Cambridge tickets will be available?

I'm presuming again it will be all-ticket for away fans like the past 2 seasons!

Back to Bury FC for a moment.  In a thread entitled "anyone going to southend" on their rivals message board.  Perhaps this shows why not many will come down

So any of you coming then?.
Prediction on the score?.
We do tend to struggle against the so called easier sides so im going for a 1-0 or 2-1 to us.
Have things gone down hill since Nugent left?.

I think plummeting headlong off the cliff-face is nearer the mark young man / lady.

beardyman Posted on 24/2 19:04hello dhl - good to know you're still alive
the loan signings are something to behold:
savage has been accurately described as a giraffe on ice
harkins runs around a lot but can't tackle, pass or shoot
and when fitzgerald panics the ball could go anywhere

hope its better than rushden - took the strange one and he's been popping prozac like smarties ever since!

*cough* I think you'll find it's ****ed three-legged giraffe on ice Beardy</span>

Personally I can't wait to see the ****ed 3 legged giraffe in action!

I suppose when you no longer have a legendary Scottish striker plying his trade up front (or on the physio&#39;s couch) its all down-hill, eh Piers......

Eh ? Neither of the two boxing day games were all ticket.

I thought they were (certainly 2 years ago) as it was just after their redevelopment of the away end.

If I&#39;m mistaken then apologies&#33;

Anyway, it&#39;s Easter Monday that counts seeing as I&#39;ll be going.

I can see this one being all ticket.

We have an allocation of around 1500 behind the goal, plus we also have the option of having half of the terrace to the left of the away end which adds another 1000 if needed.

So with an allocation of around 2500 and us doing so well, plus its a BH and a short trip by League 2 standards, there is no reason why we couldnt fill that allocation in my opinion.

We have taken around 1400 up there the past few seasons even when we have been doing crap, so another 1000 on top of that now we are performing is most certainly achievable.
