Bury away support

Went on the bury official board to see if there was anything southend related and came across this link:

Basicly not one bury fan has booked the supporters coach and as a result it has been cancelled. I reckon we could be looking at about 20 brave souls visiting on saturday. Anybody want to start another silly northbank post for arguments sake.

I think you mean double figures.

Incidently for those stattos out there. Does anybody know what the lowest away support we have has at the hall for a league game? Or since we have been in this division, because i think saturday may just claim it.

Didn't Stockport turn up for a game one Friday night with no supporters except for a minibus full of tooled up Mancs that got arrested or is this a myth ?

Not surprised really. Bury are poorly supported when playing at their own ground.

to be fair,
think how many teams they have around them?
both mancs,
etc...
oldham, rochdale, preston and bolton. all within half hour or so

Lowest in the league is Chester with 105 (although Shrewsbury may have beaten this on Tuesday). Lowest overall is Shrewsbury with 78 in the LDV.

Im sure Bury cancelled the supporters coach last year too??..

Mickey mouse or what!.

We better not lose!.

While I've got my anorak on, the highest away support at Roots Hall has been Northampton with 784.

Our lowest away support was the 131 we took to Scunthorpe.

There was once a photograph in a calendar of the solitary Huddersfield Town (I think) sitting in the East Stand

A couple of quotes I just saw on their message board when a poster asked who was going to Southend:

"i was thinking of going but decided not to waste my money, at least my money goes to Bury FC going to home games, and it's only a short drive bk home. No need to bother giving it to anyone else to watch garbage"

"I'd rather have a rusty nail inserted into my eyeball"
"Only one?"

Seems like confidence among the Bury supporters isn't exactly high...
