BT Week One Yoofs

It's odd considering they bowl just 4 overs a game. All my other players are back to sublime, except my all-rounder.

All my bowlers were fine playing 20 overs of league and cup a week, with on average one net. But they can't manage 20 odd overs of BT20, including a few TIEs. My team fitness level was also as high as its been all season!

I wonder if it might be a bug related to player form, as I've only had this problem since they announced that variable form was being switched back on.

secured my first signing of the season:

Ashley Cairns (1267984)
LH Batsman, LH Spin Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, lively
A steady player with mediocre leadership skills and abysmal experience.

Plays For: Pettefershire CCC
Nationality: England
Age: 17 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 4,297
Wages: £493 p/w
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: worthless Concentration: abysmal
Bowling: mediocre Consistency: respectable
Fielding: worthless

I would think he will pop on Monday, how much did you pay for him loz ?

Mine went for £2,169,000 in the end, I've now got over 3 milion in the bank. Only problem is that cash burns a hole in my BT pocket, and I really mustn't waste it....

Prices are absolutely mental, Stamina is very valuable atm. I've been keeping an eye on a couple of players, and I've seen Comp Stamina, Comp Batting, Mediocre Conc going for over 400k !! Admittedly they were quite close to popping, but that's still crazy money.

a whopping 23k, quite chuffed with that one... for those of you looking to sell 17yo's, looking at the market at the moment there seems to be a lot of bowlers around, decent bats are getting bigger money.

There's a real inconsistency in the market for competents at the moment. Some are going for around £30K, while others are going at prices like £250K.

Should have gone for a batsman then. My mediocre-mediocre bowler still hadn't attracted a bid of £1,000 last time I checked!

He'll be a decent trainee for you. How many nets do you plan on giving him?

I particularly like his concentration, that'll mean (if you want to, which you may not) you can give him a second batting net without having to give him a fielding net.

I'd give him 1 Stamina until he pops to Competent and just 1 batting net, he'll still be Respectable Batting, Proficient (at least) Conc, Comp Stamina by the end of the season. Very nice for 23k !

That's probably down to how close to Respectable they are...

I assume you mean his consistency? :p

at the moment i had him down for 2 bowling and 1 fielding, but that's not a bad shout, the fielding could probably be better used elsewhere. He'll get a fitness net to get him to comp as soon as i get a couple of pops.

I'd leave my trainee alone loz, I noticed you had bid on him earlier, but I think he's a low competent judging by his wage of £540 which includes feeble bowling.

Oops, I thought you said he was a batsman.

I definitely wouldn't bother with a fielding net for him. Go for another trainee - even if its just a mediocre-mediocre for £1,000.

already have, picked up 2 med-med bats with comp/med stamina, about 10k total for the pair. One of them might have to play a bit (to give me the nets to train my wk/bat up) but it's not like it's a great waste of money.

yeah... and judging by when his deadline is, i'd expect a flurry of late bids as well, doubt i'll have the cash for him.

Sounds like your team is shaping up nicely. How are you going to split the nets?

Reasonable bowling trainee coming to a finish at 15.39, up for 13k atm

Nicolas Hazel (1269242)

My wicketkeeper just got a bid of £250,000, not the trainee one...

Larry Connell (72288)

:D

I pulled a potential all-rounder.

Medicore-mediocre bowling, competent-worthless batting and mediocre fitness. Would be a half decent trainee for someone with at least 3 spare nets (1x bat, 1x bowl, 1xfielding - and if you had a spare net an extra bowling net would be nice).

Listed for 0 if anyone is interested. I think his name was something like Uriah Otto.

Nick's asked me to list his potential all rounder for any noobs out there, wage suggests pops in the offing:

Mat Jephcott (1281627)
RH Batsman, RM Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, fresh
A destructive player with feeble leadership skills and worthless experience.

Plays For: Whos your Daddy
Nationality: England
Age: 17 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 5,848
Wages: £670 p/w

Stamina: woeful Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: mediocre Concentration: woeful
Bowling: mediocre Consistency: respectable
Fielding: worthless
