BT Valuations

Grayson

Life President⭐🦐
How much would this guy go for in the end?

Seymour Cullingford (316690)

RH Batsman, RF Bowler, strong batting form, woeful bowling form, sublime
A destructive player with respectable leadership skills and mediocre experience.

Plays For: Bund Bund
Nationality: South Africa
Age: 22 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 25,444
Wages: £3,301 p/w

Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: abysmal
Batting: abysmal Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: strong Consistency: remarkable
Fielding: proficient

And then my guy:

7. Billy Clark - 24 yo, BT Rating=13,971
LH Batsman, LF Bowler, superb batting form, strong bowling form, sublime
An attacking player with feeble leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: feeble Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: respectable Consistency: strong
Fielding: woeful

The latter's valuation is more important for me, as I'm tempted to replace him with a strong with secondaries if I can get a decent amount for Clark.

I'd say you would be lucky to get more than 2 million for Clark IMO!

As for the other chap, around 6 million i'd guess at!

Wouldn't be able to afford the top guy with that then, damn. Thanks both of you though - I'm going to get rid of Clark but I need a replacement instantly, so it's a worry. Probably will wait til the season's close actually.

To give this thread more purpose currently: what are people gonna do with BT20 this season? I'm tempted to get out early.

Having missed most of it last season due to holiday I'll be getting some games out of it, there's plenty of time after it to get fitness back before the season starts.

See what sort of group I get and go from there. With the way my training is set up at the moment, I wouldn't be playing my stars too deep into the tournament as it looks like it kills PFL.

Went for 2,715t in the end.

Yep, I couldn't afford him by 200K currently :( I'm gonna get a strong bowler and a strong or proficient/good conc batsman I think, providing I get 4 million.

And me, it made me fairly disappointed that I just didn't have the money in the end. Never mind. There's a similar player on the market, ending tomorrow, on 2.5mil currently.

It's going to be interesting to see how the market goes, now that FC games are 95% certain for next season. One thing I do know, is that my top players will be getting Stamina training to Superb, as soon as they've finished their Skills training.

And mine - I've got 2 players that will finish their skills training by the season's close, and they will instantly be transferred to stamina nets. I already have one player on it, and will need to bump Granville up to superb at some point.

Juggling 10 nets is going to be bloody hard now. Will probably only get 2 new trainees this year, and restrict them to single skill only for 2 primary nets or 1 primary 1 fielding. That'll leave me with the 4 I have currently for Rennie, and 2 for stamina.

Next season many teams will struggle - I'm not bothered where I come in season 1 of FC, I'd like to be mid-table so I can re-assess properly.

At the moment, I'm quite lucky in the fact that I'm only training 4 players, 3 of which are allrounders (if you include a w/k), so I'm going to free up quite a few nets in the next season and a half.

Ok, decision time SZers. Do I buy this guy, and leave myself with sub-£500K for a new batsman, or lower my bowling targets? Also, how would a superb/mediocre bowler be im comparison?

Craig Brennan (112279)

RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, strong batting form, competent bowling form, sublime
A defensive player with worthless leadership skills and abysmal experience.

Plays For: corporals 11
Nationality: Australia
Age: 26 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 24,392
Wages: £3,285 p/w

Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: abysmal Concentration: feeble
Bowling: strong Consistency: remarkable
Fielding: feeble

He ends at 11am, so need quick help, thank you :)

I've decided I'm going to go all out to get this guy because he fits the bill perfectly, and my batting in the middle order does nothing anyway so replacing a superb/woeful with a proficient/woeful I already have won't make much difference in the order.

Hopefully I can get him for 2.8mil, and that'll leave £500K spare.

I'm now convinced the TM is going mad, a 21yo Resp/Comp bat with Mediocre Stamina has just been sold for 513t. Does anyone else think that is way too high or is it just me ??

Similar player currently at £350k with 2 hours left. Would understand if they were £1,000+ wages so near to popping but they're not! Shows how much money is swilling around in the game.

I'm trying to sell off some of my better non-1st XI players, while the market's well up. I think the probable advent of FC has increased it a bit. Also, while people can list at silly prices, it's causing those that are listed at £0 or a reasonable price to go for crazy prices as so many people are bidding on them.
