BT - OD Match 7

BILLERICAY BLUE

Rose Tinted Brigade Member⭐⭐🦐
Massive games for both halves of the BB household today.

I'm playing the top-side today and need to win to have any chance of promotion. With the exception of Middleton at Energetic, everybody is Sublime, so it's a full strength side on GFI. Oppo is obviously a bit worried as he has changed his pitch overnight from Dusty to Flat. Change of bowling tactics today, I've gone for 4+5 to finish, which will mean both Middleton and Curle getting 7 overs each at the openers.

Mrs BB also involved in a top-of-the-table clash, again she just has 1 at Energetic (Hutton) and everyone else at Sublime. She's also GFI.

Away to Silly-Mid Buttercups, which is a big game.

4. Southend 6 3 0 3 12 0.58
5. Blenheim Park 6 2 0 4 8 -3.70
6. Silly-Mid Buttercups 6 2 0 4 8 -4.04

If I win this, and Blenheim Park lose, I'll have an 8 point buffer. It's a dusty wicket so hoping for the spinners to win the game.

More transfer stuff from me: I've been offered a wonderful/strong 20 year old RFM for £7.5-8million. I'd ideally not get an FM, but the owner says the bowler's had 8 weeks training to exceptional. Not sure whether to go for it, but will give myself a couple of days to see what else is on the market. Real lack of nicely-priced bowlers at the moment.

playing the Batters at home, who are so-so. should be a decent match

4. Napster's XI 6 3 0 3 12 9.88

5. Mattybean United 6 3 0 3 12 -1.14
6. The Batters 6 2 0 4 8 -5.56

Total Cricket v ShrimperZone CC

Tough old game here on an uneven pitch which I have little experience of. Full strength line up including Plummer who got international clearance from the ICC to play in the match. Richie is invigorated but I can't afford for him not to be in the team, Suthers is energetic but other than that it's all systems go.

Immortals v BATTY SHRIMPERS

We can tell you that Immortals won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking like a road. As flat as a pancake. No help for the bowlers on this sunny day.

Going to need at least 300 I think.

Good toss for Mrs BB to win

Rehtakul Veets CC&FC v DIBS DIPPERS

We can tell you that DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this partially cloud day.

We can tell you that Silly-Mid Buttercups won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this sunny day.

Lets join our team for ball-by-ball commentary.

Great start for Mrs BB, if she can get Mccarthy out cheaply, she'll have a great chance.

Barrowdale 3-1-5-0

Was hoping for an early breakthrough, they have better batsmen stored down the order. Morale is certainly not my friend today.

Cook 3-0-13-0
Atkins* 16 (21 balls)
Ogrady 7 (16 balls)

Good RR, but 3 down is not brilliant to say the least

No wickets coming but it's still pretty slow. Need to get a couple to make sure I can skittle them in the last ten and stop them reaching a decent total.
