BT - FC Match 8

Another down, if we lose this one then it's curtains for FC promotion and I may start my squad reshuffle early.

End of Over 15 (1 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 43-3, runrate=2.87
Trail by 131 runs. (Inter Lancs 174-10)
Overs left today: 25
Rigg 8-1-22-2
Lamey* 26 (27 balls)
Mcleod 8 (22 balls)

Last Wicket: Sinethemba b. Rigg 7 (FOW: 19/3)

End of Over 88 (9 runs). Napster's XI: 340-1, runrate=3.86
Overs left today: 22
Thapelo 18-1-86-0
Shah* 148 (240 balls)
Allan 148 (243 balls)

Last Wicket: Jefferson c. Channa b. Pollock 30 (FOW: 61/1)

Well it's top vs 2nd (me) today, they have a 1 point advantage.

Bowled them out for 225, which only gets them 1 batting point against my 3 bowling points.

On a dusty track he employs 4 spin bowlers, 4 good ones as well, and they removed Swayne and Cptn Williams early doors, we're currently 25-2.

The players are off the field for the change of innings.

End of Over 92 (Maiden). Bobbys Gentle Touch: 284-10, runrate=3.09
Overs left today: 18
Cahill 19-3-56-2
Allen* 34 (92 balls)
91.1 W Cahill to Strydom
Oh yes, that's why we love the game. Perfect ball from Cahill, just a little movement perhaps and middle wicket meets leather. A sporting nod from Strydom acknowledging he's been beaten. That's good to see these days, should be more of it.

Lamo is single handedly pulling us out of the mire.

End of Over 21 (12 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 74-3, runrate=3.52
Trail by 100 runs. (Inter Lancs 174-10)
Overs left today: 19
Tonge 2-0-18-0
Mcleod* 18 (38 balls)
Lamey 47 (47 balls)

Last Wicket: Sinethemba b. Rigg 7 (FOW: 19/3)

End of Over 32 (10 runs). Southchurch Village CC: 109-2, runrate=3.41
Trail by 116 runs. (Boinks Blunderes 225-10)
Overs left today: 0
Becconsall 16-1-63-0
Last* 40 (76 balls)
Birkett 43 (84 balls)
Last Wicket: Williams c. Finch b. Worthington 7 (FOW: 18/2)

Pleasing state at stumps. Obdurate batting and a little late flurry against 32 overs of spin!

Good partnership from Lamo and Macca but both fell shortly before stumps, up to these two to see us into a lead.

End of Over 40 (8 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 162-5, runrate=4.05
Trail by 12 runs. (Inter Lancs 174-10)
Rigg 11-1-39-3
Plummer* 8 (14 balls)
Marriott 8 (4 balls)
Last Wicket: Mcleod c. Tonge b. Rigg 49 (FOW: 154/5)

A good day for my bunch. Hopefully this win will be enough to secure my status in this division, and allow to me to focus on my title push on OD.

End of Over 64 (7 runs, 1lb). The Flying Scotsmen: 450-1, runrate=7.03
Lead by 345 runs. (Salmonella CCC 105-10)
Blewitt 11-0-65-1
Hulse* 214 (197 balls)
Rowson 7 (4 balls)

Last Wicket: Tapp lbw b. Blewitt 222 (FOW: 442/1)

Just five runs added and Plums and Tate fall. Looks like we'll be pretty much level pegging going into the second innings and with cloudy & humid weather on a green top this could well finish either way today.

End of Over 46 (1 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 167-7, runrate=3.63
Trail by 7 runs. (Inter Lancs 174-10)
Overs left today: 104
Womack 12-3-31-2
Marriott* 10 (18 balls)
Schofield 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Tate c. Cooke b. Womack 2 (FOW: 167/7)

Suthers lingered very nicely for a 23 run 10th wicket partnership and Ryan has struck early in the 2nd innings. Game on!

End of Over 2 (Maiden). Inter Lancs: 5-1, runrate=2.50 (1st Inn: 174-10)
Trail by 18 runs. (ShrimperZone CC 197-10)
Overs left today: 94
Ryan 1-1-0-1
Cooke* 0 (2 balls)
Davis 0 (5 balls)

Last Wicket: Hardy b. Ryan 5 (FOW: 5/1)

Gradually working our way through the dross that is batting line-up from 5-11. Need to make them follow-on though, otherwise Evelyn and Pollock will kill themselves against his bowling.

Stumpys v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Stumpys have resumed their innings.

Pitch: Green

End of Over 63 (3 runs). Stumpys: 161-7, runrate=2.56
Trail by 200 runs. (BATTY SHRIMPERS 361-0)

Middleton 8-1-17-2
Hitish* 82 (181 balls)
Myers 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Cameron c. Evelyn b. Middleton 2 (FOW: 161/7)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Great performance by Mrs BB's bowlers. No declaration set.

Ultraviolets v DIBS DIPPERS

Pitch: Green

End of Over 12 (1 runs). DIBS DIPPERS: 40-1, runrate=3.33 (1st Inn: 216-10)
Lead by 133 runs. (Ultraviolets 123-10)
Overs remaining today: 95
Sullivan 6-0-24-0
Potter* 18 (23 balls)
Bird 15 (35 balls)

Last Wicket: Morgan lbw b. Everett 5 (FOW: 7/1)

I just sold a proficient batsman to help raise funds, and he went for 8k. Fair enough he's 32 and has crap stamina, but I'm surprised he went that low.

Deakin didnt sell for 5m. He's here:

15.Dom Deakin - 28 yo, BT Rating=54,225 shortcut
LH Batsman, LH Spin Bowler. He is a steady player with worthless leadership skills and exceptional experience.
He currently has superb batting form, superb bowling form and fresh fitness.
Stamina: superb Wicket Keeping: feeble
Batting: abysmal Concentration: competent
Bowling: wonderful Consistency: wonderful
Fielding: feeble

I need to find the right balance between not getting ripped off but making sure he sells. How much should I list him for?

As for my game, horrendous morning, but these two recovering us from 13-5.

End of Over 21 (1 runs). Southend: 43-5, runrate=2.05 (1st Inn: 182-10)
Lead by 149 runs. (Queens Park CC 76-10)
Overs left today: 89
Youngs 2-0-7-0
Healy* 31 (62 balls)
Tsietsi 4 (33 balls)
Last Wicket: Futcher c. Gooding b. Bhutia 0 (FOW: 13/5)

I think 5m is reasonable enough, although I'll give you 4m :)

I've just put a lot of my dross on the market, best is a 30yo Prof/Prof bowler with Respectable Stamina, up to 30k at the moment, but would hope to get somewhere near 200k.

Deakin is up for 3.8m if you're seriously interested. I need him to sell to not go bust. As Rautenbach is close to being up to scratch, I can afford to sacrifice a bowler for the extra batsman I bought, although I've had Deakin from near the beginning so it's a shame to sell.

If you do buy him, don't fire when he gets old, I'll buy him back.

I'll be selling Ryan soon who is very similar so interesting to know what Deakin goes for.

Pete Ryan - 29 yo, BT Rating=51,546

Stamina: superb Wicket Keeping: woeful
Batting: feeble Concentration: feeble
Bowling: wonderful Consistency: wonderful
Fielding: woeful

Planning to sell either Suthers or Schofield as well and get another top notch all rounder in. Will mean sacrificing a bowling spot but Graham will be near to first team action this time next season.

I haven't quite got the 3.8 at the moment, but should have by tomorrow.

Vital breakthrough before lunch and there's two new batsmen at the crease.

The players are off the field for lunch.

End of Over 21 (Maiden). Inter Lancs: 54-3, runrate=2.57 (1st Inn: 174-10)

Overs left today: 75
Sutherland 11-2-27-2
Womack* 0 (2 balls)
Hendrie 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Davis c. Lamey b. Sutherland 25 (FOW: 54/3)

20.5 W Sutherland to Davis
What have Davis and U2 got in common? They've both got an edge! Davis shoulders his bat and trudges off. That ball didn't even swing too much but Lamey will be grateful for the catch all the same.

Womack run out for the second time in the match, we look well set. Second place are struggling big time and will be lucky to get away with anything more than a draw.

End of Over 22 (1 runs). Inter Lancs: 55-4, runrate=2.50 (1st Inn: 174-10)
