Is the PA guy getting on anybody else's nerves? I know it may seem harsh seeming that he's just come here and all but I really do think that Brian did a greater job at entertaining the crowd.

I totally agree, Brian was a football man and knew it inside out. The new guy is an ex-radio presenter and although he may think that he is doinga good job he does little to get the crowd going. Take Friday night when he have out the attendance, it was followed by a namby pamby 'Lets get behind the blues' and people just looked at each other and thought 'who is this plank?' whereas when Brian used to do it he did it with passion and there was always a respone from the crowd even if it was momentarily.

Brian may have been a west scum supporter but i'd have him back anyday!!!!

Exactly, he does bearly anything to get the crowd going, and thinks he is funny where he is clearly not!

In the colder months he could get semi-entertaining

I was embarrassed on saturday in truth... and may have to bring ear plugs for half time next home game

Wheeler was great, and this guy is trying to keep up to his standards and unfortunately his voice is not up to it! However he does get the kids involved by question and answer stuff which is quite good. Also he does it for free, so good on him - give him a chance!

It's a bit of fun on a Saturday afternoon (usually), yes, he made a slip up saying Col City but BW had been doing the job for absolutely ages and was also guilty of making the odd gaffe. He's a professional for goodness sake, doing the job for free as a supporter of the club and he's only done a few games, he doesn't want to be another BW he wants to be Peter Holmes.

Peter Holmes is a fan, though, isn't he? A former season ticket holder, I read.

I don't mind him, to be honest. Besides, the fact that there was a big thread on here last season ranting about Brian Wheeler proves that you can never satisfy everyone.

Perhaps Irate Ian should do it. "Today's referee is Mr J Singh, so basically we're ****ed." :)
