I personally think Wood will be gone in January and the only reason he hasn’t gone already is because we’re short of bodies.
Once a few come through the door in January the dead wood (no pun intended) will be moved on

Agree. Incredibly telling that he doesn’t even make the squad when I think most lineups on the pre-match thread had him starting. I think he’s got the potential to be one of those players who’ll drop down to NLS, bang some goals in and get a move back to the NL or League 2. And I don’t think Kev for a second can have any regrets, because he’s never fancied him and never given him a real chance.

Yeah I get that. But 8 goals in 17 appearances on loan at Tonbridge tells me he’s got something about him. If Kev thinks he’s crap then he should send him on loan. Keeping him around to freeze him out is just unfair and I think he’s in danger of stagnating.

Just thinking, is the fact that Wood was on the match day graphics a sign that he was due to be involved? Wind and Waldron wouldn’t ordinarily be the ones you’d expect to see on there either. Could mean he’s pulled out last minute through injury or illness and we’re jumping to conclusions, as this did seem a tailor-made fixture for him to get a shot.
