Corr was limping around end of last game, cant rely on Freddy and I wouldnt want to be relying on Woodrow as our out and out striker if those two werent available.

Didn't notice he was TBH, but can't see why we should get someone on loan just in case Corr gets injured.

Corr did say on BBC essex that he was finding it hard to move towards the end of the game on Saturday. If that was the case maybe he should have said something to PB, maybe he did, i dont know. But he has done exceptionally well in that role and now starting to chip in with the goals to add to this. So would be hard to replace at the mo.

So are you saying we need to get someone in just in case Corr is out injured?

Freddy has a long standing problem with his knee,Barry has done really well but may need a rest or get injured,Woodrow still learning and Reid seems out of the picture completely bringing another forward in will help.Someone with a bit of pace would be good.Although Brown likes the 4-5-1/4-3-3 formation using Straker and Hurst he is flexible and switches in games,so all in all another forward would be useful to have

This. Can't believe there's even a debate on whether we could do with another striker. If Corr got a serious injury and we don't get anyone in now we'd be stuck with using the emergency loan system and be limited to 93 days. Plus it would probably be a gamble on another youngster coz clubs get more reluctant to loan players out at the end of the season in case they get injuries themselves. The games are that much more vital in the final few months and clubs tend to not let many out.

So yes one signing to cover a possible injury is worth making in my view plus of course it gives another option from the bench

This issue is that 433 requires really a target man type like Corr- look at Arsenal and Giroud. In a 433 I think the other strikers we have got would be better suited to either side rather than down the middle so without Corr 422 would better suit are resouces- but given how well 433 has worked I am not surprised we we after a 6'4 alternative- Calvin Zola would be similar

If Corr got injured, then it would be an idea to have someone lined up but to have someone here just waiting for Corr to get injured isn't worth it. He will just be sitting on the bench waiting.

The type of player we need is someone like Ngoo, good with the ball in the air and on the deck but that looks highly unlikely to happen.

I wonder if Njie will get a chance if he impress on his month loan spell.

Who knows what Browns reasoning is.

What is obvious is we dont have a like for like replacement, and we may looking for someone to be able to give Corr a rest, not just to replace him if injured.

That's about right. Brown rates Reid but not in the current formation we play (451 or 433 - whatever you want to call it!). So he wants another alternative to Barry for either of the above reasons.

That's about right. Brown panic purchased Reid and then saw him play and decided that he has no real place in the current formation we play (451 or 433 - whatever you want to call it!). So he wants another alternative to Barry for either of the above reasons.

Edited to provide another point of view ..............

Thought that Smith guy looked decent on boxing day. Shame that he isn't coming here as he would have been a great addition IMO.
