@CJPhillips1982: Just heard that Blues have missed out on signing a striker. More to follow. @SUFCRootsHall @Essex_Echo

Wonder who it is?

Coz Eastwood can only play half a game so an injury to Barry Corr would leave us pretty light up top IMO. I think getting rid of Reid and finding a decent replacement should be our priority in this transfer window and glad we've at least been trying.

So if we got in a striker who had came in and banged them in like Britt did for the rest of the season would you be complaining?

We can't dump him as he has a contract.

Why are we after another striker? We already have an in form Corr, Eastwood coming back and Woodrow as back-up.

Corr was limping around end of last game, cant rely on Freddy and I wouldnt want to be relying on Woodrow as our out and out striker if those two werent available.

Apparently signing for Swindon.

Which makes sense. He is signing for Swindon, which means we've MISSED OUT on him

The only other striker i've seen linked with a move away from his current club is Jake Hyde from Barnet. He's been linked to Championship sides though.

On the Reid front, i wouldn't be surprised if he goes out on loan. He hardly plays and sometimes doesn't make the bench. Why would we go for another striker if we weren't getting rid of one of our current forwards? Unless we're chasing someone to replace Njie...god knows!

As Jam Man said though, an injury to Corr leaves us with Woodrow, Reid and Freddy (who doesn't appear to have 90 minutes of football in him at the moment). Reid doesn't cut the mustard, leaving us with Woodrow as our only reliable striker and let's be honest, he hasn't set the world alight. My guess is Brown would have got rid of Reid in January if he was able to, still might, who knows.

Saw Bill Garner last week and David Crown today both looked as fit as when they played for us , perhaps worth a look at .

It would except it hasn't been confirmed it was him that we were after.
