Call me mean spiritied, but the Bluebelles are the worst half time entertainment in the history of football - and I include those sides that don't provide any. I've never really seen the attraction in watching girls who are young enough to go out with my kids randomly wiggle their arms around in a completely unchoreographed manner.

I heard a rumour that the car thing was coming back with a new sponsor.

I've had a few dealings with her and she is actually a really nice girl and yeah she does look out for some of the younger fans and gets the players involved with them etc. So she does actually do some good. :winking:

I agree they have got worse and worse as they have gone on. I think its about time to bin them or sort something else out. I used to love the half time entertainment with all the competitions they had. Was always a laugh watching the guys who sit in the directors box or in a box trying to take a penalty or shoot from the half way line with winklepickers on.

I guess after Ford had to give away TWO cars they kind of thought sod this and pulled out.

Aren't they starting a new half-time, win-a-car competition today? If so I think that's good, as you say it always used to be laugh seeing middle-aged men try to get a ball in a hole from the halfway line. As for the Bluebelles, I don't think they've ever been very good dancers and to be honest I don't really care and I doubt many people do. They're something to look at during half-time, I wouldn't cry if they went. The song they dance to is always terrible and they're so out of time it's laughable. And there seems to be less of them these days. Larissa is the only one I recognise as she always wiggles past the West stand before the game. You can't see them very well from the West anyway, just a blur of fake tan and bleached hair.

As someone else said, we must be doing pretty well if people are resorting to moaning about the cheerleaders! :bluebelles:

Perhaps it is just that they don't seem to serve any useful function; they are not cheerleaders trying to whip up the FOOTBALLING emotions of the home crowd, and they are not entertaining enough to merely be a half-time distraction. They might be better served doing a short 'cheer louder in the second half' routine in front of all the stands occupied by home fans. What they do in front of travelling fans I leave to you.:omg:

just bring back the bluebells of old, thinking some 5 years ago and great to watch at half time as most were fit and old enough, like to see what they look like now.

Quite agree - i feel like a dirty old man watching them now (what is the average age?) Did anyone see the Crystal Palace cheerleaders on the Football League Show? Now that was more like it!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think most are about 18? Apparently larrissa is 1988 so 22/23ish

The crystals knock socks off our bluebells

This weeks half time dancing looked like a scene from a Michael Jackson concert with loads of random kids on the pitch whilst barely old enough to stand, whilst three blues bells danced about in a totally random order......

Bring back the fit little blonde please.....

Personally I don't link their formation. They seem to switch from a 3-2-2 to a straight 7-0-0 too often. I think they must be managed by Craig Levein.

With regards to the half time entertainment I'd just be happy if they reduced the volume of the music to a level that doesn't make your ears bleed. Also, If matey-boy could read the halftime scores out at a pace that the human ears are able to determine....that would be rather nice too. It's read at such a speed I can't tell who is playing who, let alone what the scores are. Thankyou please.

Or how about going the whole hog and having a different theme for each home game. Asian girls one week, black girls the next, then the milfs etc. I can't see why this wouldn't be acceptable even at a family club.

Ok, OK, its the girls here, ease up everyone, last game we were asked to do something a little different and get some kids on the pitch, they loved it and their familes loved it, it was fun. As to everything else, yes some changes have been made the girls are different to the first time we started as the team and girls move on, but please ease up on us, we come and entertain you and we love doing it, we mean no harm and we try and make everyone happy. The songs we do, are sometimes chosen by fans so we like to try and keep everyone happy, the team travel to every home game and there are always things we can do to improve and make the half time better. We work really close with the club and we love what we do, some pople like it some people dont, all we want to do is dance and meet the fans which is why we sell the tickets and are outside meeting everyone. We are sorry to read what you have said but will take it all into consideration and hope that it will change your minds. Thnaks everyone for your support:thumbsup:
