Hi All,

Well, I dont usually complain but I am getting a bit bored of the half time entertainment each week. You see little kids dribbling as soon as they come out for their half time dance.

Now im all for half time entertainment but they also seem to be getting younger, what next 5 year olds doing the dancing?!.

Call me an old fart but I would rather just chat about the game with the people around me rather than having 14/15 year olds trying to attempt to dance.

You don't have to watch them, you talk, i'll watch! Don't take them away from me! Good alternative to other teams who provide nothing at half time, plus other teams fans look forward to seeing them, so why change it just because you wanna talk?! Go to the bar!

You're not forced to watch them.

The music would be on anyways, so you can simply avert your gaze and talk to your mate. (Who will probably take no notice as they are watching the blue-belles!

Dream on!

More chance in seeing a rematch of Bruno (Derek Payne) V. Speedy (David) when David Speedy went down to a softer punch than the "Real Frank Bruno" did in his first match against Tyson.

As for the Blue Belles what has happend to the older ones who get a little carried away with the pelvic thrusting?

was that when derek payne walked up and kicked someone right up the arse. i was at theat game, i think he got his marching orders.

I think everyone must still be suffering from a Christmas hangover.

First there's moaning saying that we played crap, even though we won 3-0 with significant ease.

Secondly, despite putting in a good and not to mention extremely hardworking performance, Tes is once again labelled lazy and not good enough.

Now, people are moaning about the Blue Belles!?

Bloody hell, I think I'm going to have to go off and have a lie down.

Sometimes I think we'd be better off not bothering with the football and just have the Blue Belles all afternoon instead,

Some people are never happy.

I just cant believe it...

I woke up at the start of the new year with Southend 4th in the league, with a healthy squad of young players.

And the board is full of people moaning...unbelievable

They (the players) wish. It makes me laugh the way the players, when "warming" up at half time, do their tricks and then watch (ok more stare) at teh blue belles. Nicolau had an absolute classic example against Masfield the other day, was priceless.

O and in answer, yes it really is worth having them at half time.

What about that marching band we used to have in the 80s?

What do you mean no? You lot must be mad

Can't remember which visiting team it was, might have been Boston in October actually, but not one of their subs did any warming up at all. They all just sat on the footballs and watched the girls perform.

You could just have imagined that tw*t Evans coming out and docking them 2 weeks pay for unprofessional behaviour.

To be honest, I agree with this.

I would hazard a guess these girls do not come cheap to perform if they are already performing at the likes of Premier$hite outfits. Even if its not a major amount, I'd much rather we improved the squad with that money rather pay jumped up 12 year olds (try to) dance around! Sorry!

Do you really think that if they were costing the club an amount of money that could easily be used to significantly strengthen the squad, that we'd still be using them?

At West Ham, the majority of the money raised from the draw tickets that they sell goes directly to them. Obviously we don't know what the situation here is, but I'd really doubt that they're denting our budget whatsoever.

Oh, and speaking of entertainment at games.

Did anyone else notice the ad in the Rushden programme saying that we've got that smug, arrogant, jumped up little tw*t Harvey performing at the Darlo game!?

Something to look forward to, not.

Do you really think you know how much they cost to the club?

Even if its as little as £200 a game then its £5,000 too much a year!

And at the moment this club does not need 'significant' investment, it requires strength in depth! If we tightened our budget on these kind of things then we could improve that!
