Well at least it's another body (if true) and we don't have many options on the wing. I think he's better than Scannell. Anyone know how he's been doing for Wycombe?

Yeah i reckon Betsy can be well useful, i remember him scoring a few goals for us and that was when he didn't even get that many games. Definetly useful, but doesn't he want to finish his career at wycombe?

I think there was a story recently about how he wants to end his career at wycombe.

Going by wycombes so confusing forum it looks like they want him back.

The thing is, he's the only football league standard winger I have ever seen that can't go past even the slowest defender with the ball. He does the same thing every time, runs at the defender with the ball, stops and short passes sideways or backwards.
The only time he crosses the ball is when he is found in acres of space with the defender awol.
At Wycombe he can get away with this mediocrity and still get in the starting line up, no wonder he loves them and wants to stay.

Currently leading their assist chart with 3 and has scored once.

I am really pleased about this to be honest. Really underated in my mind. Did every job that I would think was asked of he him last year.

When he was starting he kept solid and protected Francis, who was having a nightmare season.

When he came off bench for last 20 minutes in the later stages of season, he made an inpact. Scoring on a few occasions, and creating chances. Looking at our "squad", I think he is best "last 20 minute" option we have.

I think Betsy is, on his day, one of the worst players I've seen in a Southend shirt. However, when he has a good game, he has the ability to make things happen. We are devoid of width at the moment, and he provides a useful option. If we can't get a decent fee for him, we should keep him.

Where do these wonderful stats come from?

He's scored 3 times in a total of 33 starts & 17 sub appearances. Only one of those goals was as a sub & that day he came on in the 84th minute. Since going on loan he got 1 for Wycombe in 19 starts & 3 subs. If he's made an impact than it just shows how cr@p the rest of them are! :angel:

Much as I hate to I agree with Lord Football (god that's difficult to type) but I'd still have him at the club (not LF obviously ;) ), rather than put 3 on the bench, however with expectations based on his ability rather than the super-human feats you're attributing to him. :flamer:
