If he thinks that display is worthy of being paid then he is way off the mark. He was woeful. On that performance he doesnt deserve to get selected to sell the match day programme let alone play on the pitch.

Dont agree with booing or abuse tho.

Atleast Tilly saw the same as most others and he was rightly taken off at half time and probably lucky to have lasted that long aswell.

If Betsy wants more positive support from the crowd then he needs to buck his ideas up. He is apparently called "the oracle" so lets hope that he has realised that crap performances like yesterday are not going to get him in the team, or atleast shouldnt!

Betsy was quite simply - awful! His contribution this season has been negligible, apart from making his right backs look shaky when they have to contend with one and an overlap! Francis outcrosses him game after game (even yesterday when he was centre back!). Yep its anyone BUT Betsy for me at wide right!

Just a thought(it may have been made elsewhere), but WHY did Tilly put Walker up front? He came on at Orient and was superb as attacking left mid - so why switch him? Mousa cant play left mid and Walker is sus up front - but thats how we started. Any wonder the first half was lacking in buzz!! He had to wait till HT for the chance and he looked dangerous, but by the Yeovil had dropped deep.

I won't single him about for abuse at matches.

But until he starts doing his job I won't support him, why should I. Paying good money for me to sit their and pretent I have support for a player with no skill or passion.

That's the spirit...all in this together!!!

If you go to a resturant, and you pay £19 for a steak. And it's sh*t- you'd be happy?

I certainly wouldn't, and I'm not happy to watch a player perform consistently poor week in, week out. Sorry.

As I said- it's wrong to boo him etc at the game, that will have a negative effect.

But why oh why should I just 'be in it together' and support a player who doesn't give a sh*t!

And don't say he does. I could accept it if he was like Revell, who despite not being the most skillful player- tries and tries and tries. Betsy has neither skill or passion.

The guy can barely pass a football, and your telling me I'm suppose to support that!

"Well done Kevin, unlucky mate, you can pass it straight next time."

FFS. Some people on this board need to realise we can't be lovey dovey to the players all the time. He is simply not good enough for us.

As I say- I don't and shant abuse him on match day. But he really is below par.

If he shows me some will to try for the team- I will.

Until then I have no time for a player who's heart is just not in it!

Ian...cast your mind back to his performances in a winning team at the start of the season...he actually looked quite assured and composed on the ball.

Yes, but he has clearly gone massively backward. Will not take on the fullbacks and attempt to get to the bye line, and does not seem to have the skill or pace to now do so.

This was also whilst Francis was at right back and going forward I think Franno helped him out considerably.

Of course I wouldn't, but you know what I'd do?! Next time I was there I'd make the effort and really get behind the Chef and encourage him. Then, maybe next time the £19 steak would taste what a £19 steak should taste like, but I guess that's where we differ...

I personally wouldn't stand next to a chef whilst his cooking and go-

"Go on my son, you can do it...go on...turn the gas on...good lad...I believe in you. Thats it."

Betsy is paid to play football. He couldn't even do the basics yesterday, it's laughable. At least the likes of Walker, Revell can pass the ball in a straight line.

Give me £900 a week and I'll pass the ball off the pitch for you.

I do hate being negative but people have to realise that he is below par and it is about time Scannell got a chance. At least he has pace and can run at people.

Betsy- A 6ft+, lanky, slow winger, can't score. OK it has been documented he has had a few assists. But really- it just isn't good enough.

Passing and running with the ball are fundemental to any winger at any level surely? I personally wouldn't want him if the unimaginable happened and we went down. I can't see a player that can't pass or run being any good in League 2.

Wouldn't disagree that Betsy isn't playing well and on the evidence of the last couple of games he shouldn't be in the team. Drop him for Scannell? Well he can't do any worse and maybe he deserves a chance.
However, whatever you think about him as a player, by not supporting him and getting behind him, it's not going to help him, which in turn won't help the team. Whenever a player isn't performing on the pitch a sign of encouragement from the terraces might help him raise his game. Might not work, but it'll certainly have more of an effect than not getting behind him. Common sense when you think about it.

I agree. But the thing is- if Revell isn't having a great game, he'll always give 110%, he'll chase. And run, and tackle- and it makes me want to support him because he is giving something to the team.

Whilst I'm not going to stand up and go- "Betsy you useless piece of sh*t!" I am hardly going to give my total backing to a player who is well below this level- and what more so, just doesn't care.

It's like- his lack of form doesn't bother him.

I know it's on a much lower level, but if I miss place a pass, etc (not that I do now since I play in goal) but I would always get a sense of frustration and a want to win that ball back. I would chase, and close down. If there is a ball to be won, even if the chances are 20%, you would go for it.

Betsy just- gives up. He's a professional. He should learn to deal with the hard times and turn it around for himself.

Chuck Scannell in, he always runs etc- remember his tackle against Leeds at home- he wants to do well. His determined. His by no means a League One winger either, but he gives it his very best.

If Betsy shows me some guts, determination and a passion for the club I can assure you I will be up there with the rest of you cheering him on.

I think our support is brilliant, and I love being a part of it. I mean, 1-0 down twice in a week and still outsinging the other fans and getting behind the side- it's brilliant.

Betsy can sort himself out, we can hardly do much.

Agreed it can't have a negative effect to cheer him on, but at the same time- he needs to earn his place, and my support.

I support the club. Not the individual players.

I agree with most of the comments on here. I feel that we have got a few players who are not good enough to push a club towards the play offs in this division (one or two I suspect are not even good enough for league 2). The majority of these put in 100% effort week in, week out and deserve our support. Because of that, it's the managers fault for putting them on the pitch. In our case Tilly has his hands tied at the moment, what with the small squad, injuries and difficulty bringing new players in. Tilly is putting in 100% effort for the club, so deserves our support.

In Betsy's case. He doesn't appear to me to be giving 100% effort, whether he has a slight injury I don't know, but on the face of it I feel he deserves a bit of stick to try & put his backside in gear. This doesn't mean shouting abuse when he receives the ball in a promising position, maybe not even when he mis-controls a simple pass or he puts a 3 yard ball out of play, but maybe a shout if he gives up a chase when he still has a chance of getting the ball.

I am all for always cheering the players on, but be realistic - if they ain't trying & go in at half time to a large round of applause from the crowd, what will they make of an honest managers half time team talk?
