......Paul Moran!

George Paris, about 10 years after his best...a point at which he was merely poo.....

Guy Nzamba?

Steve Anthrobus?

Dunno if being late in the day is deceiving me but Im sure we had these on loan, the last of which being the most pointless....I seem to remember we signed him on loan (from Millwall?) and before he even played (maybe even next day) he signed for Wimbledon...... Or have I just been having weird Steve Anthrobus dreams....

No I remember the Steve Anthrobus thing. We signed him on the day of an away match and by the time we'd arrived by coach he had signed for someone else and never played.

I'd also go with Adrian Burrows. On loan during 87/88 and turned the leaky as a sieve defence (8 goals conceded at Gillingham, 7 at Sunderland and 6 at Notts County

) into a decent unit.

Anthrobus was going to sign for us on a number of occasions but it never materialised

Butters was class.

Oh, and Richard Jobson was offered a player-coach role here, and wanted to come, but his wife wanted to stay in Manchester.

Didnt Guy Butters score a couple against Carlisle back in the old div 4 days around 89-90 when we started our back to back promotions???

Seems to stick in my mind for some reason

I think Steve Kelly class a class above anything i have ever seen. I also agree Jobson was superb.

I really liked Lars Unger too yet I have seen many people slate him. He to me seemed like a really classy player altough I must confess that his loan spell coincided with me first starting to drink at football so it could have been that influence too.

Stephen Kelly wins hands down, the fact thats he is a regular in the Spurs team that currently occupy fourth spot in the Prem proves how good he is.

I liked Kevin Rapley, showed some class whilst he was with us.

Turned down a permanent move to us in favour of a loan move elsewhere (Notts County..?), despite chants of "Don't go Rapley, don't go" in his final game.

Same here - the two passes he put through for Neil Campbell to score against Borient were superb...

Rapley was a "fox in the box" before Wenger thought of the term. Wasn't particuarly quick, good in the air nor was his first touch fantastic, but could that boy finish...

Without doubt in my mind he was the best that I can remember in my 58 years of following the blues.

Kelly

Jobson - if we'd kept him, we would have stayed up I'm sure

Eastwood and Collymore of course... I don't think they're cheating because if they hadn't performed we wouldn't have signed them

Martin Allen tried his best in a very, very poor side

John Burridge... whose influence on a team that had suffered a wobble was that we won 5 and drew 1 out of the 6 games he played that put us back on track for promotion (we finished runners up to Watford that season)

Worst - amongst the others mentioned what about Rio Alderton...
