Best Doner Kebab?

Many of my ties have been ruined after staying out after work on a Friday then getting a donar before getting the last train home!
Where on the Oxford Road?

Near town or down by the University.

I always used to check where the locals ate in Rusholme and then get my kebabs from there.

Back in the early nineties you could get a large donner or chicken shis for £2. If you were still hungry you could get two tennis ball sized onion bhajis with yoghurt sauce for 80p.

The Lamb seek kebabs were well worth a punt as well.

american express? they do good half-pounder burgers as well
Chicken Express!! I have to agree, they're pretty good.

Have to agree with that shout.

Also Spices of Kashmir in Salford- makes a fantastic lamb and chicken tikka kebab.

Dont mind Ali Baba's in Eastwood

Anywhere except Ali Baba's (Southend one) is normally good enough.

Kebab 2000 used to give massiver portions and Broadway Grill used to be good but seems to now be expensive and not great.

Efe's in Portsmouth is probably best down there.

Best I've had though, easily, goes to Mario's of Lufbra. Perched in his modded caravan outside the Union, you can have one of those bad boys sobre and it tastes good and on top of that, you can get a cracking chicken quarterpounder to wash it down.

Man, that makes me hungry

Star Kebab in Shenfield does a nice doner kebab, however I their namesake in Brentwood is terrible! The shenfield one supply the best burger sauce in the world as well!

No no no no no!!!

There is only one place to go for kebab, and that is 'Broadway grill'.

End of.

If you have not had one from there then you have really missed out.

Stavs is still there KS I always found it a very difficult decision between stavs and the royal tandoori opposite.
We have two good ones in Tunbridge wells but havent had one in a while.

No they dont! They're minging, there

Avoid the Abrakebabra chain in Dublin at all costs. Great name, vomit inducing kebabs.

Another vote for this place. Despite throwing all manner of s%&t down my neck I'd actually gone 37 years without getting anywhere near a kebab until a couple of years ago (the smell used to put me off).

Probably only a two or three times a year treat but the Sunday morning s%&t is so much smoother than a Hong Kong House Chinese and so much less painfull than a Hassan's Indian.
