Sat around one of my wife's colleagues (an English teacher), to watch the match. Marie-France (MAF), has little understanding of football but sat through the first half with me and repeated the same question, on numerous occasions........"What are they chanting?" Well, I don't know whether I'm going deaf or didn't clean the wax out of my ears on Wednesday morning but I couldn't decipher any of them...........apart from 'Southend', Did anyone else have the same problem?
Anyway, thanks to this thread...........I can now tell her, belatedly, what was being sung!
